Get ready to climb aboard, because it’s time to ride the TRAIN in Magic Kingdom again!
After being closed since late 2018, the Walt Disney World Railroad has finally reopened to guests. We were lucky enough to be on the FIRST guest ride on the train, and we couldn’t wait to share the experience with you — so come with us!
We got the chance to climb aboard the Walt Disney World Railroad and be some of the FIRST guests to ride the new route! There are plenty of changes, including new narration that Disney shared a sneak peek of previously. But now, we’re ready to ride — so come with us!

There is is! The Number 1 Train Engine has had a bit of a facelift, and it’s looking quite beautiful if we do say so ourselves! And the Cast Members who work on the Walt Disney World Railroad are here too, of course.
It’s been almost 4 YEARS since we’ve seen these smiling faces! Welcome back, Walt Disney World Railroad cast members! 👋🥹 #mediaevent pic.twitter.com/9EGbwIe6Fh

Remember that new narration we had mentioned? We got a sneak peek of it from Disney, but now we can hear it ourselves! A good reminder that on the train, it’s never goodbye and always “See ya real soon!”

It’s FINALLY HAPPENING! After keeping up with the construction, seeing the train testing, and waiting with anticipation — we are finally going through the TRON tunnel!!! You can even hear TRON music playing overhead — how cool is that?
We’re inside the tunnel under TRON! ✨🚂 #mediaevent pic.twitter.com/LEJtYfrMea

Um, HELLO TRON! That’s quite the close-up. Until now, we’ve really only been able to see this part of TRON from the PeopleMover or over by the Barnstormer. But now, we can see TRON from a whole new angle. We can’t wait for more construction progress photos from here!
Look how close you’ll get! #TRON #mediaevent pic.twitter.com/ey0kGZDAK0

What happens when one railroad meets another railroad? A railroad high-five of course! Check out what Big Thunder Mountain Railroad looks like from the train.
It’s this a railroad high-five? 👋 Hi, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! 🚂 #mediaevent pic.twitter.com/GP4FEPAOuK
