Would you ever think to buy one of these in the Walt Disney World parks?

Sometimes you never know what kinds of things you’ll run into in the Disney parks merchandise shops. Disney has been releasing quite a bit of 100th celebration merchandise, and part of that is the Disney Eras collection.

On a recent visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, we spotted something that caught our attention. We certainly didn’t have a “Mickey-shaped magnifying glass” on our bingo cards going into 2023, and yet it’s available now at Disney World.

While probably not exactly the ideal souvenir you thought you’d bring back from your Walt Disney World vacation, it’s an interesting find. We’re curious just how many of you would want to purchase something like this! It could make a unique piece of home decor, or maybe you could use it to read tiny books or make interesting scientific discoveries (that’s what magnifying glasses are for, right? Is it super obvious that we don’t own one ourselves?).

It appears Disney is throwing it way back with this inventive collection, and we’re left with questions about what else will be released. So far we’ve seen a typewriter, a lamp in the shape of the Earful tower that was once at MGM back in the day, and even a small animation desk!

If you’re looking to find the Magnifying Glass and pick it up for yourself, we spotted this one for $34.99 at the Discovery Trading Company gift shop. A quick check of shopDisney doesn’t show it’s available online, but we’ll be keeping watch for when it’s available there.
