Have you heard the news?
No, we’re not talking about the Disney Dining Plan’s return and the Genie+ changes. Or the fact that most visitors won’t need park pass reservations in 2024. We’re talking about the BRAND NEW restaurant that was just announced for Disney World!
Disney recently announced that a new restaurant is coming soon to the Japan pavilion in EPCOT — it’s called Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya! This will be a table service restaurant that features a “festive dining experience in a sharable Izakaya-style.”
How soon will this restaurant be here? Well, there isn’t an exact opening date yet, but we do know the new restaurant will open in summer of 2023. If you want to give this spot a try, you won’t have to wait too long!
We also got a first look the menu already — it will feature “Japanese delights like sushi and teppan items,” plus an open sushi bar and grill. On top of that, you’ll be able to enjoy Japanese Izakaya, a type of casual pub-style restaurant that puts an emphasis on drinks and conversations with friends. Learn more about the menu here!
The restaurant will be located above the Mitsukoshi Department Store in the Japan pavilion where there will be “stunning views of EPCOT, the World Showcase Lagoon, and, of course, fireworks!”
We’ll continue to keep you updated as soon as there is an official opening date, so stay tuned!
