A BLINDING Change Just Arrived at Magic Kingdom

Things in Disney World change ALL the time — we’re talking almost every day.

Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom

There are so many construction projects happening now; we’re getting new attractions, new restaurants, and even new hotel rooms. There is a LOT going on. But today, we recently noticed something changing in Magic Kingdom…and let’s just say we noticed something EXTRA shiny.

As we were making our way around Magic Kingdom, we noticed that the “rocks” by the Tomorrowland entrance were looking VERY shiny. Like we needed to wear sunglasses to look directly at it. Trust us — in person, they were super bright and reflective.

We spoke with a Cast Member who confirmed that this part of Tomorrowland is getting a new paint job, and once we got a closer look, we saw the BIG difference between the parts that were already painted and the parts that weren’t. Look at that before and after: it’s a LITERAL glow-up!

Getting a paint upgrade

We have noticed in the past that the paint on these rocks was chipping, and you could see the old paint underneath it. So it looks like they’ll be looking totally fresh and new pretty soon!

If you visit Tomorrowland in the near future, you’ll see it’s looking a little shinier than normal. This part of Magic Kingdom is FINALLY getting a much-needed touch-up! We’re at Disney World every day, so we’ll keep you updated on everything going on there. Stay tuned to DFB for more!
