CALLING ALL TANGLED FANS — get ready to book your next Disney trip!
You can see Rapunzel in Disney World during the Festival of Fantasy Parade, say “hello” to her at Rapunzel’s Royal Table on the Disney Magic cruise ship, and see her in a few other spots at various Disney parks. But soon, an entire Tangled-themed area will be coming to one Disney park and it’ll even have a TANGLED RESTAURANT!
Tokyo DisneySea is working on a major park expansion with Fantasy Springs — a new land set to open in 2024. And let us tell you something folks, this spot looks pretty epic!
Fantasy Springs will have FOUR (count ’em — FOUR) new rides, various new restaurants, and MUCH more.
The land will feature areas themed to Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan which you can read about here. But right now, we HAVE to talk about one specific part of the land — the Tangled area!
Within this space, you’ll find a NEW water ride called Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival which Disney says will take guests on a “romantic boat trip to the annual Lantern Festival and visit various locations featured in the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Tangled while experiencing Rapunzel’s ‘best day ever’ as she falls in love with Flynn Rider.”
But on top of that, this area will also have a brand NEW restaurant called The Snuggly Duckling! That’s right folks — we’re getting a brand new Snuggly Duckling restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!
According to Disney, it’ll be “reminiscent of the establishment by the same name from the film.”
Disney says that at The Snuggling Duckling restaurant, “where the local rough-and-tumble crowd gathers, guests can enjoy a meal in a variety of atmospheric dining areas.”
Okay, so there are some things to break down here. First, Disney says that this is where the “rough-and-tumble crowd gathers,” so we’re really hoping that there are a lot of references to the loveable ruffians from the bar in the movie!
Disney also notes that people will be able to eat in a “variety of atmospheric dining areas,” so it sounds like there could be a few different seating areas with some (hopefully!) elaborate theming.
The spot will be a Counter Service restaurant so you should be able to grab your items relatively quickly here without the need for a reservation, making it even easier to access.
That’s basically what has been shared so far but we CANNOT wait to learn more about this space and all it will have to offer.
