REVIEW: This Disney Churro Looks GROSS…Should You Get It Anyway?

Fall brings cool air, beautiful golden colors, Halloween, and lots of apple-flavored foods and smells. Disneyland has started offering a fun new churro that brings together many of these fall things…along with a black, tar-like sauce? We tried this new treat and we want to tell you what we thought! Check out our full review below!

Disneyland has started offering Halloween and fall treats! As many of us know, churros are a big deal in Disney and they often come out with unique, seasonally-inspired flavors. We’ve seen some pretty creative churros in the past!

Haunted Mansion Churro

Now we’ve found the new Candy Apple Churro! This is a churro topped with Green Apple Sugar and a Black Candy Apple Sauce. At first look, the black candy apple sauce looks a bit strange, almost like it’s topped with a tar-like sauce. It might not look super appetizing (and maybe even a little SCARY), but it’s certainly appropriate for Halloween!

Once we got past the spooky sauce, we gave it a try! Overall, we thought this churro was pretty good. It reminded us of an apple pie churro we’ve had before.

A bit of bad news about the churro: we thought the churro itself wasn’t the freshest and the sauce made it a bit soggy. However, these weren’t deal breakers for us. We still really enjoyed the flavors!

We would suggest this treat for anyone who loves churros, apples, or sweet treats. If you’re not a fan of any of those, you’ll probably want to skip this. You can find it at the churro cart by Corn Dog Castle in Disneyland Park for $7.25.
