This is especially true when traveling on vacation — it’s a time to relax for many people, and that means not having to lift a finger. Transportation can be a fickle thing on the road, but the Brightline Orlando Train is looking to change that — and we officially know when!

After being delayed for a second time, the start date of Brightline train service between Miami and Orlando Airport has officially been confirmed by the company. We had speculated this was the case after noticing that tickets were unavailable to purchase on the website for the original two start dates, but Brightline will begin serving these two destinations starting on September 22nd.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Brightline’s president Patrick Goddard said in a statement, “As we start service to Orlando for peak holiday seasons, I encourage everyone to check calendars, make plans, visit our website or app and reserve a seat now.”

Brightline is introducing its lowest fare, called Smart, at $79 for adults and $39 for kids — one way — for the first date of service.

The second delay followed an initial delay in train testing and crew certification, along with the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia. Brightline had previously advised passengers, “We are close to identifying a start date, but we’ve added a few more days to our work schedule to complete the final stages of certification and testing.” And now, it looks we know just when that start date is.

Orlando Airport also shared the news on its social media pages, noting that Brightline “will officially launch services between Orlando and South Florida (Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach) on September 22nd, 2023.” You can head over to Brightline’s website now to book your tickets — just click here!
