There’s always something happening at Disney World, it seems.

However, this week was particularly exciting! With the start of the new month and, of course, the holiday season, Disney World and The Walt Disney Company in general have been unveiling exciting news as well as fun events. Keep on reading to see what went down this week!
First, let’s start with Company news!
Fourth Quarter Earnings Call
On November 8th, The Walt Disney Company held the fourth quarterly earnings call of the year, wrapping things up for fiscal 2023. They ended things on a positive note, with Disney stating that “the future of shareholders is bright,” as Parks and Experiences increased revenue both throughout the entire year and compared to quarter three.

Further, Iger shared that the company was still focusing on streaming, and that Disney+ has actually upped subscribers compared to this time last year as well as compared to quarter three in 2024. Ad revenue is up, and the streaming sector should start profiting from restructuring and from the acquisition of Hulu by quarter four of 2024.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas PartyÂ
November 9th marked the very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of 2023! We were there, and we enjoyed checking out all the merch, entertainment, ride overlays, and snacks!

The events aren’t totally sold out just yet, so you can still snag some tickets for this year! Now, though, we’re looking forward to Jollywood Nights on November 11th!

Grand Floridian Gingerbread HouseÂ
Speaking of all things holly and jolly, one of the most ICONIC displays has returned to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort! This GIANT, life-size gingerbread house officially opened for business on November 9th, and now folks are able to get their fix on gingerbread treats.

What is the status of the construction at the GF?
Hi, Angela! The Gingerbread House has completed construction! It’s the only gingerbread display in Disney World that is large enough for Cast Members to stand in and serve treats from, and the treat service is now open as well :). This display and its menu of treats are scheduled to be available through January 1st, 2024. Hope you get to see it!
