Today Is a Big Day for Our Middle School Selves: ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Is NOW STREAMING On Disney+!

If you’re hoping to spend your holiday weekend cozied up on the couch with the company of your loved ones and Disney+, then you’re gonna want to listen up!

Earlier this year, Disney shared that an all-new series would debut on Disney+ in December — Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Yep, this series is a re-telling of the novels by Rick Riordan, who has been working on the project since 2020. It’s safe to say that our middle and high school selves have been thriving as we look forward to the release date. Speaking of release date… that day is TODAY.

YEP! You can now stream Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+! The show debuted on December 20th — which makes the Christmas holiday weekend the perfect time to stay in and watch the show. So far, there are two episodes out for the first season, which will follow closely with Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the novel or film, this season will follow along with 12-year-old demigod Percy, who is coming to terms with his powers in the modern age. On top of this, the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his lightning bolt. Percy and his friends Grover and Annabeth must then go on a quest to help Olympus.

Well, we know what we’re doing after work today. And then again this weekend. And then probably again until more episodes come out. New episodes typically drop on Disney+ on Wednesdays — as soon as the clock strikes midnight. ✨
