There are so many experiences in Disney World that go beyond visiting the theme parks.
For example, there’s the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, a fun hoedown-type dinner show at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. You can go horseback riding, boating, or any of a dozen other activities. Or you can see the world-class show, Drawn to Life: Presented by Cirque du Soleil in Disney Springs. You can even make your own Mickey Mouse CAKE and we’re going to tell you all about it.
Now we’ve talked about the Cake Decorating experience at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs before, but we wanted to remind you that this is something you can still do in Disney World. Basically, it’s a 90-minute class where you learn to decorate a Mickey or Minnie Dome Cake. Fun, right?
Well, we now have the schedule for 2024 Cake Decorating Experiences, and we wanted to share it with you in case you’re looking for something a little different to do in Disney World. You’ll hit up Amorette’s Patisserie bright and early before it officially opens to the public and learn how to create a Mickey or Minnie Dome Cake from a pastry chef. You’ll also get some cool tips and stories!
Depending on the day, you’ll learn to make a Mickey or Minnie Cake. here’s the schedule, beginning on January 1st, 2024.
- Sundays – Mickey Mouse
- Mondays – Minnie Mouse
- Tuesdays – Mickey Mouse
- Wednesdays – Minnie Mouse
- Thursdays – Mickey Mouse
- Fridays – Minnie Mouse
- Saturdays – Mickey Mouse
The Mickey Mouse Dome Cake features Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Milk Chocolate Mousse, and Orange Pate De Fruit Jelly. The Minnie Mouse Dome Cake features Lemon Chiffon Cake, White Chocolate Mousse, and Strawberry Pate De Fruit Jelly.
You’ll also get to sip on a variety of beverages during the experience, including specialty coffees, teas, water, and select alcoholic beverages. At the end of the class, your cake will be neatly packaged so you can take it home. However, Amorette’s will also hold onto your cake for the day if you need to pick it up later.
You’ll also get a special gift from Amorette’s Patisserie. When we last decorated a cake at Amorette’s, we got a special pin!
The 90-minute experience costs $199 plus tax, but you can bring one other person along with you for the experience (that price is for up to two people). You can check availability here. It’s a lot of fun and something unique you can do in Disney World. We’ve been a few times — you can read our full review here.
