When you’re prepping for a long day in a theme park, it’s a good idea to eat breakfast first!
The good news is that the Disney World parks have some pretty delicious options! In particular, EPCOT has some of our favorite breakfast items on property at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie and Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. But what about when you’re in the front of the park? Well, Disney has a solution for that!
Recently, EPCOT introduced a new breakfast option in the form of a Breakfast Sandwich. It’s available at two locations near the front of the park — at the World Discovery Hot Dog Stand…
…as well as the World Celebration Popcorn Cart. It’s only available in the morning or until it sells out for the day.
The Breakfast Sandwich is $7.25 and comes with bacon, egg, and American cheese on a roll. But really, the roll is just a regular hamburger bun.
The description sounded delicious, but I was a little underwhelmed by this snack, as it only had two small pieces of bacon and a significant portion of egg, some of which was kind of runny. The hamburger bun was fine, but certainly not as good as some other options for a breakfast sandwich.
Ultimately, my biggest problem with this sandwich is that there’s a much better option nearby. Both snack stands are near Connections Cafe, which is the park’s Starbucks location. There, you can get breakfast sandwiches for cheaper than this one (some of which are cheaper by a whole dollar) and made with much higher quality ingredients.
The downside to going to Starbucks is that you’ll likely have to wait in a long line. So if you aren’t feeling particularly patient, this new breakfast sandwich is an alternate option. However, I’m probably not going to be encouraging people to rush and get one ASAP.
We’ll be on the lookout for any more snacks and breakfast options in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest!
