Welcome to the club! We LOVE surrounding ourselves with fellow Disney lovers, and we hope you do, too. One of the Biggest Disney fan events ever will be happening in August — and it will be FULL of people just like you and I. However, it is also one of the HARDEST events to get tickets to. Luckily, we have a little bit of experience with this. Have no fear, DFB is here to help you get your best chance at snagging tickets for this HUGE fan event!

Before we jump into how you can get your hands on some tickets, we need to talk about what D23 truly is.

D23 is Disney’s official fan club. If you’re in the fan club, you’ll receive information via email about new things to come, and other fun information. You can join for free, or you can pay a fee and get a gold membership, which comes with some added perks like access to gold-level events, collector sets, membership cards, and MORE. D23 puts on a big fan convention every year. And this year, it’s going to be the biggest one yet! At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney will share news, updates, and major announcements of things to come — including movies, TV shows, and new things coming to Disney’s theme parks and cruise line. You’ll be face-to-face with some of the biggest players in the Walt Disney Company, and have a front-row seat to those major announcements, and possible sneak peeks at their blue sky ideas, and concept art for things coming to the parks. This event is coming up August 9th-11th!

Here’s the breakdown of when you can buy tickets:

• D23 Gold Members will have first access to a number of 1-day and 3-day tickets for a limited time beginning March 26th at 12PM PT.
• D23 Gold and General Members who are also Visa cardholders (you must pay with your Visa card) will have pre-sale access to a number of 1-day and 3-day tickets, for a limited time, beginning March 27th at 12PM PT.
• Tickets for all D23 Gold and General Members will go on sale beginning March 28th at 12PM PT, while supplies last.

And here’s a look at the type of tickets available and the pricing:

• D23 Ultimate Fan Pass 3-Day Ticket includes a 3-day assigned seat for evening shows at the Honda Center and 3-day access to all experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center—starting at $297.
• D23 Ultimate Fan Pass 1-Day Ticket includes a reserved seat for that date’s evening show at the Honda Center and same-day access to all experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center—starting at $99.
• D23 Preferred Ultimate Fan Pass 3-Day Ticket, exclusive to D23 Gold Members, includes a 3-day floor seat for evening shows at the Honda Center (same seat each night), and 3-day access to all experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center—starting at $999.
• D23 Fan Pass provides access to the Anaheim Convention Center only:
  • 1-Day Pass — Gold Members: $79; General Members: $89
  • 3-Day Pass — Gold Members: $209; General Members: $259

If you’ve been to a D23 Expo before, you’ll notice that the ticketing looks different this year. That’s because the biggest and most popular panels for the event will be held at the Honda Center in the evenings. The good news is you’ll have assigned seating at the Honda Center. And your ticket price will vary depending on which seat you choose. That’s different than the long lines people have waited in in past years to get a seat for the panels!

Now comes our word of warning! In the past, these tickets have sold out in minutes! We’ve had a few of our team members try to get tickets to this in the past, and our experience showed that it truly was RANDOM. One of the team members logged on to the website for tickets after the other, but got placed closer to the front of the line than the one who was waiting for a while before sales began. So, keep this in mind when you’re waiting to get your hands on one of these tickets.

Now, without further ado, here is a step-by-step guide to help you get your hands on some tickets!

Step 1: Be sure you are a member of D23! Both general members (those with free memberships) and gold members (those with paid memberships) are eligible to buy tickets for this event. But if you’re not a member, you won’t be able to buy a ticket. (You can join D23 here.)

Step 2: If you’re already a D23 member, this is a great time to be sure you still know your login information and that your membership is up to date!

Step 3: Decide which level of ticket you want to buy from those listed above.

Step 4: Determine when you’ll be eligible to buy tickets. Gold members will get first dibs on tickets, then gold and general members with Visa cards (you have to pay with that Visa), and then general members.

Step 5: Set your alarms! Be ready to buy your tickets at the date and time you are eligible (as we have listed above).

Step 6: Log in and get in line — it’s likely you will be taking to an online waiting room and put into a queue to buy your tickets.

D23 has said that because you will be selecting seats at the Honda Center for the evening presentations, the ticket buying process may take longer than it has in the past. We also suggest that if you have more than one person going, you might want to have multiple people trying to snag tickets that day.
