Disney Confirms 4 NEW Haunted Mansion Details On the Treasure Cruise Ship

Disney’s new cruise ship, the Disney Treasure, will set sail on the high seas in late 2024 and we couldn’t be more excited.

There are so many new attractions on this ship — new live entertainment, restaurants, lounges, and so much more. But one of the things we’re most thrilled about is the new Haunted Mansion Parlor, and Disney has confirmed 4 details that we can find onboard!

The first major detail is inspired by a Disney Imagineer who worked on the original ideas for Haunted Mansion, Roland Crump (nicknamed “Rolly” by Walt Disney). We now know that he will have an iconic bust named after him inside the lounge! Rolly had an idea for a “Museum of the Weird” in the Haunted Mansion, and one of his characters appeared to be melting like a candle. So, it’s only fitting for his sculpture to look like it’s melting!

The inscription underneath the statue reads “BROTHER ROLAND- FOREVER REVERED FOR EMBRACING THE WEIRD.” Additionally, more concept art revealed shows some photographs on a wall. Many of them are familiar portraits from the original attraction, and one of them is very clearly the iconic Hatbox Ghost!

In the main section of the parlor, you’ll also be able to see the three hitchhiking ghosts from the end of the attraction in the mirror — they’ve even followed you onto the cruise!

And from the concept art, it looks like we’ll also be getting the one and only armchair — we just hope we can actually sit in it!
