Although spring technically just began, we’ve been celebrating the arrival of the season since February with EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival.
We tried every. single. one. of the food booths, checked out all the merchandise, and we even won a PRIZE for snacking around the park. However, there’s way more to come. You see, some of the booths have rotational menus. One of those booths is Farmer’s Feast, located toward the front of the park. From February 28th through March 3oth, you could snag the booth’s Early Bloom Menu, which is what we tried on the first day of the festival. The items we tried were the Veal Tenderloin, Strawberry Rhubarb Upside-Down Cake, Grilled Street Corn on the Cob, Hibiscus Lemonade Cocktail, and the Frozen Lemon Tea Cocktail. The booth was okay — everything was fine except for the veal. The veal was not the greatest. However, now that April is here, Farmer’s Feast is donning a NEW menu from now until April 27th.
Yes, the Springtime Menu has officially arrived at Farmer’s Feast! From now until April 27th, you can snag the following:

It’s time to eat, y’all!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Seared Scallop for $7.75. This is served with tomato risotto, Arborio rice, and tomato burr blanc. The presentation here is simply chef’s kiss. It looks delicious, the sear looks perfect, and we’re REALLY excited to try that risotto. Fingers crossed it tastes just as good as it looks!
This was actually SO GOOD. The sear was just as perfect as it looked and added some great texture and flavor to the scallop. It was buttery and had a bit of a salt brine flavor to it. It had the perfect amount of chew — you don’t want a scallop to be too soft but you also don’t want it to be super chewy. This was the perfect in-between.
As for the tomato risotto, it was absolutely delicious. It tasted like it was soaked in a yummy tomato bisque and had a great texture.
Next up, we had the Blueberry Buckle with lemon crème fraîche for $4.75. Um…this might just be the prettiest dessert we’ve gotten our paws on in a while. If you’re unfamiliar with a “buckle,” that’s old-fashioned southern talk for a single-layer cake with fruit mixed directly into the batter rather than served atop the cake. This one looks DELICIOUS. But, how does it taste?
Okay, this one impressed us across the board. It’s served with a fresh blueberry compote on the side for some added texture, moisture, and sweetness. The lemon crème fraîche on top was a WINNING choice and complimented the blueberry buckle perfectly. Plus, there’s a cinnamon-y crumble on the top that added some sweet, crunchy texture that we absolutely loved.
The cake itself is nice and soft. It cuts through VERY easily. It’s nice and moist, and with those sweet blueberries served on the side, it’s even more of a game-changer. Oh, and it held up surprisingly well in that hot Florida sun, so it gets even MORE bonus points from us.
OVERALL
Overall, we really liked the springtime menu here at Farmer’s Feast. We liked it much better than the Early Bloom menu. We’d recommend giving it a try if you love seafood and/or fruit-based desserts. BUT, the best news is that even if none of these bites appeal to you, you can come back in a few weeks and try the next items on this rotating dining menu! The next menu that will be available is the Summer Solstice Menu, which begins on April 28th.
