We love Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs, and the line that forms outside each day shows just how much other people love it as well!
We totally understand why the line is so long each day. We mean, who wouldn’t want to try their delicious cookies, cake slices, and cold brew? Well, we wanted to let you in on a little secret. Did you know that there is another Gideon’s Bakehouse that is not located on Disney property?
Yep, you heard that right. There are actually two Gideon’s Bakehouse locations, and the original location is not too far away from Disney World!
The original Gideon’s Bakehouse is located at the East End Market in Orlando, just about 30 minutes from Disney World. If you have a rental car and want to skip the lines at Disney Springs, you may want to head here! Besides the shorter lines, you will want to go to the Orlando location for a different reason!
There is a specialty offering here that is not available at the Disney Springs location. If you thought that the cookies at Gideon’s Bakehouse could not get any bigger, think again!
You can order a GIANT COOKIE from the Orlando location! This cookie is eight inches and can feed up to 20 people, making it the perfect size for a cookie cake!
The Giant Cookie can be ordered in Original Chocolate Chip, Cookie & Cream, Triple Chocolate Chip, Pistachio Toffee Chocolate, Peanut Butter Crunch, and Candied Walnut. The cookie is accented with buttercream and topped with a sprinkle of sea salt.
If this sounds delicious and you want to pick one up, you need to place an order at least 72 hours in advance. It is only available at the East End Market location in Orlando, NOT at the Disney Springs location.
The Giant Gideon’s Cookie looks so yummy, and we hope to get our hands on one!

Parking at the Orlando location is extremely limited. The Bake House is one of several vendors in a small building that looks more that it should be in Burlington VT than in Florida. No space for waiting and no control of the line as at Disney Springs. Left without purchasing as the staff was rude to the line.
Go to The Summer House for cookies!!!! No problem getting in, great selection, delicious.

Not only can you get all the Gideon’s Bakehouse Goodness at their East End Marketplace, but when we were there we didn’t have to wait at all. We were driving and stopped by on our way home to Illinois.

The East End Marketplace Gideon’s is my favorite! We like to drive out there on our way out of Orlando too! I probably spend more money in that little marketplace than I do in Disney Springs. It’s such a great little location.

The traffic between is usually heavy. 30 minutes minimum each way. Why waste gas and money on tolls??
