Cast Members are stationed across Disney World’s resorts and continue to operate select dining locations for those currently staying in a Disney hotel. Guests are urged to check Disney Resort hotels’ food and dining pages on the My Disney Experience app for the latest details.
As of 10AM, the mobile order food service was not open for orders. Continue to check the My Disney Experience app for updates. Disney also recommended planning ahead on October 9th and “stopping by any food court or quick-service dining location to pre-purchase breakfast and lunch for Thursday, October 10th.”
As of 7:30AM EST, Disney World shared a new update on the My Disney Experience website. Disney is requesting that Disney World and Vero Beach Resort Hotel Guests continue to shelter inside while Cast Members assess the storm’s impact. The statement noted, “We’ll let you know when it is safe to be outdoors.”
As a reminder, all Disney World theme parks, water parks, recreation offerings, and Disney Springs are closed today, October 10th. The Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party scheduled for today was also canceled, and event tickets will be refunded. Disney shared that any partially used multi-day tickets will be adjusted with new ticket expiration dates of October 11th, 2025.
Although the parks are closed, Disney is still hosting a few indoor activities around its hotels. There are free Disney movies available in people’s hotel rooms, arcade free play, surprise character visits, and other activities in the lobby throughout the day.
Damage assessment is taking place now across Florida. Many parts of the state are still without power at this time, including those in Orange and Osceola counties, where Disney World is located.
Continue to listen to officials as the storm makes its way off the coast. We will continue to share updates about the status of the Disney parks and hotels, so stay tuned for additional information.
Thank you to our readers who shared information, photos, and videos. Be safe.

Was at Disney World eight years ago at this same time during hurricane Andrew. Disney closed the parks on Thursday afternoon and all day Friday. We were able to go to Downtown Disney (name at that time) Friday night to get something to eat.
Disney did a great job cleaning up after the storm.
