Don’t be fooled! Just because summer is over does NOT mean the rainy season is finished in Disney World. In fact, hurricane season runs all the way through November 30th! Prepare for at least one or two downpours during your trip.

Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom
For those who aren’t well-versed in Central Florida weather, we have one tip: invest in some good, quality rain gear. Here’s what we recommend!
We love the FROGG TOGGS Ultra-lite2 Rain Poncho
We own this poncho, so we can confirm that it’s the BEST. Ponchos are often treated as a disposable item you should ditch after one use. But 1.) that is pretty wasteful, and 2.) that’s not very cost-effective! This poncho was designed to stand up to multiple wears.
As the name implies, this is a nice, lightweight poncho that is shockingly breathable. The sleeves aren’t made with that annoying elastic, and the hood is the perfect size.
The poncho comes in several colors, too, so you can get a different color for everyone in your family!
Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers are a MUST
After years of walking around with soggy socks and wet sneakers, we got FED UP. Finally, we invested in some shoe covers, and it was a GREAT idea.
These will fit over most shoes and sneakers, so you can easily pop them on when it starts to rain. They’re lightweight and have a nice grippy bottom, so you don’t have to worry about slipping. This is the best solution for a rainy day in the parks!
It might not be flashy, but good rain gear is a serious Disney World essential. Buy it now for your next trip to Disney World — future you will thank you! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney essentials, so stay tuned for more.
