This could drive a real wrench in your Disney World plans if you’re not prepared!
We’re no strangers to how much planning can go into a trip to Disney World. We’re constantly checking out menu changes, crowd levels, and scoping out the latest seasonal decor switches. But, there’s one Disney World park that’s sold out soon, that may have you second guessing your plans.
Planning just the right day to visit Disney World’s parks can be challenging at times. While Disney World has since let up on its park pass reservation system for hotel guests and daily theme park ticket purchases, that doesn’t always mean that you’ll be able to visit the park you want if you’ve waited around to buy your tickets.
From time to time, Disney World is known to sell out on specific dates of importance and while checking the upcoming calendar dates, we noticed one date HAS already sold out soon. November 8th is now unavailable on Magic Kingdom‘s calendars if you’re looking to purchase tickets alone…
… or visit as a hotel guest.
This means if you were looking to purchase tickets for Magic Kingdom for this particular day, you won’t be able to if you haven’t already secured those tickets before now.
This might seem like a completely random date, however, it’s important to note that November 8th does hold some significance as it’s the first date of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom. Since the special event will be happening later that evening, Magic Kingdom’s hours will be reduced for the normal park day which historically makes it a pretty popular time to see the festive decorations hung around the park and especially down Main Street U.S.A. during the earlier hours.
However, the only group that needs to make park pass reservations still are Disney World’s annual passholders. We checked the AP park pass reservation calendar and so far, it seems like those with an annual pass still have an opportunity to make it inside of Magic Kingdom before the party starts!
However, we all know that can change on a dime, so if you’re thinking about visiting Magic Kingdom with a Disney World annual pass ahead of the party that evening, you’ll want to be sure to make that park pass reservation before they’re gone!

Is it not true that days when there is an event in the evening are usually less crowded during the earlier part of the day? Maybe Disney is just trying to lighten the crowd more to prepare for the first night?
