It is finally here! Lightning Lane Premier Pass has debuted at Disney World!
Lightning Lane Premier Pass is Disney World’s new Lightning Lane option that is available for guests of Deluxe Resorts and other select hotels. This new version of Disney’s pay-to-skip-the-line system allows you to access every single Lightning Lane within a park one time. The biggest perk of this new Lightning Lane option is that you do not need to make any ride selections, just simply show up to any attraction with a Lightning Lane at anytime! If you are interested in trying out this new system we made a step-by-step guide for you to follow along with!
Who is Eligible to Purchase?
As previously mentioned, at this time Premier Pass is only available for purchase by guests staying at a Disney World Deluxe Resort and other select resorts. Just like Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass, Premier Pass can be purchased seven days prior to your check-in day. It is extremely important that anyone you wish to purchase Premier Pass for is linked on your family and friends list on the My Disney Experience app.
How Much Does Premier Pass Cost?
Premier Pass pricing varies on the day and park. The price range is as follows:
- Magic Kingdom: $329-$449 plus tax
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $129-$199 plus tax
- EPCOT: $169-$249 plus tax
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $269-$349 plus tax
On its debut day, October 30th, the pricing for each park is listed as:
- Magic Kingdom — $329 plus tax
- EPCOT — $169 plus tax
- Hollywood Studios — $269 plus tax
- Animal Kingdom — $129 plus tax
How to Purchase
Step One: Open the My Disney Experience App
Seven days before you check in, you will want to be in the My Disney Experience app at 7 AM ET. On debut day, the app said that Premier Pass would be coming soon, even though it was 7 AM.
We were able to dismiss this message and still purchase. By 7:35 AM, the message had changed to “Now Available.” We are sure this was just a glitch and will be fixed, but just know that you can dismiss this message and should still be able to purchase.
Step Two: Click on Lightning Lane Premier Pass on the Home Screen
Depending on your My Disney Experience App, Lightning Lane Premier Pass may be an option for you to click on your home screen. If it does not show up, you can search for it in the app. Once there, you will want to click on “Purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass.”
Step Three: Choose a Park and Date
You will then choose the date and which park you would like to purchase Premier Pass for.
You can only purchase a Premier Pass for one park at a time, so if you want to purchase a Premier Pass for both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom on the same day, you will have to do it two separate times.
Step Four: Select Your Party
It is super important to have everyone at your party linked to your family and friends list so you can purchase for everyone at your party. Where it says “Who’s included?” you will select who you would like to purchase Premier Pass for.
Step Five: Purchase Premier Pass
You will have five minutes to complete your purchase. Simply confirm the details and hit “Continue.” Then, you can check out.
Step Six: Confirmation
Once purchased, Premier Pass will show up on the app’s home screen, or you can view it under “My Day.”
And there you have it! The step-by-step guide to buying Lightning Lane Premier Pass at Disney World! We are out in about in all four parks on debut day testing out Premier Pass, so make sure to stay tuned to Disney Food Blog to stay up to date on all the latest Disney news!
