Here comes Santa!
Disney World is getting prepped for the holidays! Magic Kingdom has its holiday decorations up, including the iconic tree and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort’s annual gingerbread house is built. We’re getting ready to deck the halls on November 8th at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but that’s not the only exciting thing happening on November 8th!
Santa Claus is coming to town on November 8th! From November 8th through December 24th, you can meet Santa at Disney Springs before he flies off to deliver presents.
He’ll be meeting at Santa’s Marketplace near Disney’s Pin Traders at the Star Wars Trading Post, which recently closed indefinitely.
To meet him, you’ll need to join a Virtual Queue with all the members of your party who wish to see him (there will not be a standby line available). You can join the queue on the My Disney Experience app, but you must be in Disney Springs to do so. The Virtual Queue will open several times a day at the following times:
- 9:00 AM
- 11:00 AM
- 1:00 PM
- 3:00 PM
- 6:00 PM
How exciting that we’ll soon get to start meeting Santa?! But that’s not all coming to Disney Springs on November 8th. The annual Christmas Tree Stroll will also begin on November 8th!
From November 8th through December 30th, you can stroll around Disney Springs and find several Christmas trees decorated with themes of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel movies, along with other themes like Disney+, Annual Passholders., and more.
You can grab a map with a set of stickers from the following locations and then mark each tree off that you find with the corresponding sticker. Once you’ve filled up all the spots, return your map to one of the locations listed for a special surprise!
- City Works Eatery & Pour House
- Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers
- Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company
- The LEGO Store
- The Luxury of Time by Diamonds International
Many of the trees will also have a sign with the MagicBand+ logo on it, indicating that your MagicBand+ will interact with that tree! The following trees this year will add some extra festive fun with your MagicBand+
- Moana 2
- Toy Story
- The Lion King
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- Haunted Mansion
- Annual Passholder
- Star Wars
- Coco
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Disney+
- Lilo and Stitch
- Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse
- Encanto

There will also be iconic flagship trees, topiaries, and window displays around Disney Springs to keep your eyes out for! Soon, you’ll be able to enjoy the holidays over at Disney Springs. Don’t miss out on these classic, annual events.
