Let’s head to Disney Springs!

Disney Springs
Disney’s shopping and dining district is home to several of our favorite restaurants, desserts, and entertainment. There’s always something to see and do at Disney Springs and one of our favorite things is to head to Homecomin’ for their newest eats! Let’s check them out.
Dining in Disney Springs is one of our favorite non-theme park activities and one of our absolute favorite spots to check out is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. This table service restaurant celebrates Southern and Florida cuisine with some of the best friend chicken and mac and cheese we’ve ever had.

Homecomin’
The fan-favorite restaurant recently added some new items so you know we had to check them out!
Atmosphere
This restaurant is at The Landing in Disney Springs near Gideon’s Bakehouse and Morimoto Asia. It features an outdoor patio and indoor seating as well.

The outdoor seating area!
The restaurant is pretty casual with a relaxed atmosphere and an outdoor bar where you can grab to-go drinks even if you aren’t dining in. Brunch is one of our favorite times to check out this spot which is only available on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM.

The brunch sign!
Reservations aren’t required for this spot but they are highly recommended as it can get full quickly! We were seated outside and it was finally time to check out the new bites.
Eats
There were a handful of new things to try out for our weekend brunch starting with the Blueberry Buckle for $18.

The Blueberry Buckle
This early starter reminded us of having a dessert before our meal. It tasted just like a blueberry crumble cake with extra icing and a nice crunchy top. The main flavors were cinnamon and sugar from the topping which paired nicely with the cake.

A scoop!
This appetizer was rich and smooth thanks to the additional icing and while we did enjoy it, it paled in comparison to what we had for our meal. For our second appetizer, we tested out the Apple Butter Bread Pudding for $14.

The Apple Butter Bread Pudding
This was a really nice start to the meal! It was similar to the blueberry buckle in the sense that it reminded us of a dessert before the meal. It was thick with a nice apple butter and cinnamon flavor profile.

The icing on the side.
It reminded us more of a thick cobbler than a bread pudding and we would’ve liked to see some bits of apple in it. Thanks to the size, it reminded us of a cinnamon roll with apple butter flavoring rather than a bread pudding.

Icing on top!
We would’ve liked a bit more icing once we got to the bread-heavy center so consider asking for extra or cutting the appetizer and adding the icing to the middle to make it go further.

A slice of the inside.
For our main meal, we grabbed the Homecomin’ Hash with a side of Cheesy Potatoes for $24.

The Homecomin’ Hash!
The Homecomin’ Hash traditionally comes with a different side but we swapped it to try the cheesy potatoes. This dish blew us away! The hash was topped with two perfectly cooked eggs. (We like our eggs runny but you can request a change.)

Perfectly cooked eggs
The hash was wonderful. It was perfectly seasoned with lots of tomato juices and spices to bring the flavors to life.

A bite of the hash and egg!
The cheddar cheese biscuit was a wonderful addition to top off the eggs and hash.

The potatoes were also wonderful and we were super glad we subbed them in. They were heavy and well-seasoned. We think we could’ve had these alone and been satisfied.

A close-up of the potatoes
This entire meal was wonderfully paired, with every element working together. It made us feel fancy and elevated with some traditional Southern comfort foods. To wash everything down, we grabbed the Moonshine Flight for $36.

The Moonshine Flight!
This flight comes with 5 different moonshine-based cocktails starting off with the Rum Shine. It was a berry with a hint of citrus coming from the orange peel. We really enjoyed this one.

Mountain Shine!
Next up was the Moonshine Margarita which was light and was reminiscent of a traditional margarita.

The moonshine margarita!
The Blue Hooch was next and it was the most reminiscent of a cocktail. It has more depth and fruitiness than the other moonshine-based drinks.

The Blue Hooch
The Strawberry Lemonade continued the fruitiness taste train. It was super smooth and it reminded us of having a strawberry lemonade at a summer picnic. We can see this one being dangerous because we couldn’t even tell the moonshine was present.

The strawberry lemonade!
Finally we tested out the Sweet Tea! This was perfectly sweet (surprising, we know) and well balanced. Similarly to the Strawberry Lemonade, you wouldn’t know there was moonshine in it if someone did tell you!

The drinks all together!
We loved all of these drinks and would’ve gotten them all again. You can also order all of these cocktails individually if you want to skip the flight.
Overall
We are pleased to say Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ has done it again! The restaurant’s take on Southern Comfort food is a favorite of ours and these new dishes added to that.

The full spread!
If you’re looking for heavy, delicious comfort foods, this is a great spot to try out. It’s also one of the few brunches you can test out in Disney World which gives it extra points in our book.
