Universal Orlando is going, well, universal!
It seems like everyone around the world is excited for Epic Universe, Universal Orlando’s newest theme park, to open, and the celebrations are getting bigger and bigger.
The Edinburgh Castle in Scotland is projecting a world class production display of Epic Universe and their five immersive lands, Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe.
The show will take place on May 2nd at 9 PM and will be a historic first, as the Universal Epic Universe-themed projection mapping and lighting experience begins.
Every guest who comes to watch the show will have a chance to win a 7-night trip to Universal Orlando with tickets to all four parks, including Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Volcano Bay, and, of course, Epic Universe.
The trip includes a stay at the Universal Terra Luna Resort and transportation by British Airways Holidays.
The event is free to attend, but you do need to apply for tickets here due to the limited capacity.
There’s also a National Epic Universe Portal Tour in the United States, where guests can watch “action-packed sequences that celebrate the incredible adventures of the new theme park.”
Universal is bringing a 30-foot-tall Chronos tower on tour! Guests will also be able to enter a sweepstakes for a trip to Universal Orlando and visit Epic Universe for themselves.
The National Epic Universe Portal Tour is about halfway done, but you can still visit them at the following cities:
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: May 16th-18th
- Chicago, Illinois: June 13th-18th
We’ve been counting down the days till Epic Universe opens on May 22nd for months now, and we are ready for everyone to be able to run through those portals. Keep following Disney Food Blog for more theme park news.
