Eek! The start of the runDisney season is almost here, and we couldn’t be more excited to lace up our sneakers, pick up our race bib, and get up at 2 AM to go running (okay, well maybe we’re not as excited about that).
Disney just dropped the medals for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. If you don’t want any spoilers for your race, now’s your last chance to click away. If not, scroll on!
The Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend takes place from October 23rd to 26th at Disney World. This year, each race was themed to a different meal of the day.
Here’s the 5k medal! After running 3.1 miles so early in the day, you’ll be wanting the Happy Porridge with Mulan and Mushu.
For the 10k, Olaf is popping out of a picnic basket with his Midday Munchies. The sun is shining, fruit and veggies are everywhere, and Olaf looks like a happy snowman. We’re questioning the ingredients in his picnic basket, but he’s so cute, we’re willing to look past it.
Ready for dinner? The half marathon is represented by Lady and the Tramp with a spaghetti dinner for all 13.1 miles. The numbers are made of noodles and breadsticks. You might want to book a reservation for Tony’s Town Square after the race for the perfect medal picture.
If you complete the two-course challenge, which includes running the 10k and the half marathon, you get an additional medal. This medal has Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather from Sleeping Beauty on their cake. When you flip open the top, the cake becomes colorful like a magical spell.
In the comments, tell us which medal you like the best and if you plan to run during the Wine & Wine Half Marathon Weekend. Keep following Disney Food Blog for more!
