Pull out your pasta craving for Tony’s Town Square Restaurant! This restaurant represents the Disney animated film, Lady and the Tramp, and you’ll find plenty of references to the movie throughout the place.
Serving Italian food and offering both indoor and porch dining, this is a great spot from which to watch parades in the Magic Kingdom. The food, in my experience, has been improving, and you can’t beat the views of Main Street, U.S.A.!
The Meal at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant serves Italian fare, mostly focusing on pasta dishes. We’d compare this to your local Olive Garden. Great if you’re craving Italian food, but not the “real deal” for pasta snobs.
If you’re looking for decent Italian food and a nice, simple meal, then this restaurant could be a great choice — especially for pickier eaters!

The Atmosphere at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is located in the Town Square area of Magic Kingdom, and it’s themed to Lady and the Tramp. Yep, it’s inspired by that iconic spaghetti scene!
In fact, there are several nods to the film inside and outside the restaurant, starting with these concrete pawprints out front near stroller parking.
There are two main sections to this restaurant. The main dining room has a darker and cozier atmosphere…
…while the porch is bright and sunny with a great view of the park. If you can dine here during the parade and get seated in the sunroom, it’s like a fun secret hack!

Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re not afraid to load up on appetizers. This restaurant started to gain popularity when it debuted two AMAZING appetizers: Tony’s Garlic Bread and giant Fried Mozzarella. These two things alone make this spot worth a visit in our book! When you pour that rich, creamy Garlic Butter and Parmesan Fonduta over your garlic bread, it will all make sense. Trust us.
- You’re searching for a last-minute reservation. This restaurant has a pretty big dining room and plenty of reservations. Even if you’re scrambling for a last-minute reservation, you’ll probably have luck finding a table.
- You love dining al fresco. There aren’t many table service restaurants that offer outdoor seating in Disney World. Plus, if you time it right, you might even be able to watch a parade from your seat! We’ve been lucky enough to watch the Disney Starlight parade during our meal, and it made the experience 10X better.
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- The entrees aren’t anything to write home about. Listen, we’re not in Italy. The food here is good, don’t get us wrong, but it’s not like a real Italian nonna is back in the kitchen preparing your meal.
- Patio seating has its pros and cons… Yes, it was fun to see the parade during our meal, but we noticed two things about the outdoor tables: 1) It’s HOT outside, and they don’t do anything to cool it down. 2) Be warned that the indoor diners may try to come outside during a parade. A manager should tell them to go back inside, but note that you cannot come out to the patio if you’re seated inside.
- You plan to snack on DOLE Whip, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, Giant Cinnamon Rolls, and Mickey Bars. One word: CARBOHYDRATES. You’re eating bread. You’re eating cheese. You’re eating pasta. That’s a lot of filling, heavy food!
Important Information
- Take a photo next to the Lady and the Tramp Statue in the main dining room.
- Make a reservation for an hour before a Magic Kingdom parade is scheduled to begin. Arrive early for your dining reservation and let them know you’d like to wait for a patio table.
- Tony’s Town Square offers Mobile Dine Check-In.
- You may find last-minute availability for The Plaza on the Mobile Dine Walk-up Waitlist.
- Annual Passholders, Disney Visa Cardholders, and Disney Vacation Club Members should inquire about a discount.
