Something new has come to Magic Kingdom, and no, we’re not talking about all the construction at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or the construction walls popping up around Rivers of America.
We’re talking about a brand new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream The Night Away. Now, the parade had a soft opening a few nights ago (and we were SO lucky to be there), but after a short delay tonight (“due to unforeseen circumstances”), now the parade is officially open and will be seen EVERY DAY by everyone who visits Magic Kingdom.
Disney Starlight can be viewed twice each evening as it makes its way from Main Street, U.S.A. to Frontierland at 9 PM and 11 PM. Yes, you read that right…this parade runs in reverse to the daytime parade, Festival of Fantasy. The parade begins with the Blue Fairy because Disney wants the star on her wand to be the first thing you see. MAGICAL.
You’ll also see a lot of other floats and performers lighting up the night, including Asha, Star, and Valentino from Wish; some illuminated butterfly dancers; Mirabel and Bruno from Encanto; Elsa from Frozen; Disney Princesses and Princes; and so much more. It’s a stunning parade and a must-see if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom.
Now showtimes for the parade could change, so you’ll want to make sure you check the times on the Disney World website or My Disney Experience app. You’ll want to grab a spot early for it, too — you can get an idea of the best viewing areas for this parade here.
We’re so excited about this new entertainment offering in Magic Kingdom and look forward to dreaming the night away every time we visit Magic Kingdom. Stay tuned to DFB for more.
