Let’s be honest: nobody plans their Disney World trip around the SHOWER, but here’s why you should!

Bathroom in 1 Bedroom Villa – Preferred View
You’re thinking about rope drop, dining reservations, and which park day needs the most caffeine. We get it — we didn’t think about it either, until we’d stayed in enough Disney World hotels (all of them) to notice a pattern: some showers are an absolute dream, and some will make you long for your bathroom at home. Weird water pressure. Mystery knobs. Approximately zero counter space for your skincare routine. We’ve hit all of it. So before you check in and find out the hard way, here’s everything we wish someone had told us first.
The Best Waterproof Speaker!
When you’re staying in a Disney World hotel, you may find that the ol’ “singing in the shower” experience gets a little tricky. Maybe there’s no good spot for your phone, or your phone doesn’t get loud enough to play through the bathroom. Whatever the reason, we’ve found that having a speaker is the way to go for jamming out during your shower in Disney World, and we’ve found the perfect one online!
We’ve found that a waterproof speaker like the JBL Go 3 is a great addition to bring to Disney World! It’s waterproof and dust-proof, plus it’s small and compact, making it easy to pack. It’s got up to five hours of battery before it needs to be charged again, so you likely can go most of your whole trip without needing to recharge.
Whether you listen to music or podcasts while getting ready for the day, it’s a great addition to your travel essentials for your upcoming trip! Our team loves a good shower podcast — it’s the perfect way to learn something while you rinse off.
Pack Everything in One Bag!
We’ve been in fancy Deluxe Disney World Hotels and smaller Value Resort rooms. No matter where we stay, we notice that the counterspace in the bathroom isn’t always ideal — especially for larger groups. How do you stay organized before and after a shower? With this handy bag — DFB tried-and-tested!
We know the frustration of trying to pack everything in one bag, while also making sure it’s compact enough to fit in your suitcase, and if you’re concerned about that, grab the BAGSMART Travel Toiletry Bag! It’s got so many different pockets so you can fit all your shower essentials, no matter what their size is — we’ve tried it ourselves and managed to fit a LOT. Plus, it’s easy to hang outside your shower for easy access to your essentials.
This Travel Set is Perfect If You’re Flying!
OK, so Disney World showers — no matter where you stay — are famous for that signature soap. It’s cute and all, but it’s also LOCKED AWAY in soap jail. We don’t know about you, but we aren’t a fan of the bottled soap bolted to the wall. Enter: your own personal container set.
If you’re flying to Disney World, it’s best to make sure all your liquids fit under the 3 oz limit, which is where the 16 Pack Travel Bottles Set comes in! You can fit your shampoo, conditioner, body wash, perfume, you name it, inside these sixteen different bottles and tubes. This way, you don’t have to compromise bringing your favorites from home if they’re in too big containers — there’s nothing worse than finding out you have to buy NEW shower essentials on vacation. The good news is that all Disney showers have a shelf for your soaps!
Make Your Clothes Easy to Grab
We hate getting out of the shower, only to realize that our clothes are IN THE OTHER ROOM, so avoid that by bringing along these Portable Hanging Travel Shelves! As you can see, we’ve tested this one out as well, and it holds a LOT!
These can hold shoes, pants, shirts, belts, and other accessories easily, and you can hang them right on the doorframe. It’s an easy way to ensure all your clothes are in one place, and you can avoid having to walk out into the room in a towel or ask someone to bring you your clothes. Plus, Disney World hotel bathrooms do NOT have any tables or shelves, so this gives your clothing a safe place to rest while you shower.
For the Young Kiddos!
If you’re traveling with young kids, it’s important to know that not all Disney World hotel bathrooms have bathtubs. Some rooms only have a shower!
It’s essential to make sure EVERYONE in your party stays clean and feeling fresh, so grab the Mink Inflatable Baby Bathtub to use inside the Disney World hotel room showers, or larger bathtubs if you’re concerned about the size. This one is pretty light, so it should be easy to pack, too.
We’re always here to bring you the latest Disney merchandise news to help make your trip easier, so stay tuned to DFB!
