Another big closure is hitting Disney World in 2026, but it’s not what you would expect!

Lime Garage
A major maintenance project will be hitting Disney Springs early next year at the Lime Garage. The work will focus on structural repairs on all five levels of the parking structure. Let’s take a look at the details, because it sounds like parking at Disney World’s shopping and dining district is about to get crazier.
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) will be starting a “Lime Garage Maintenance Project” early next year, as it looks to fix up all the levels of the parking garage. You can see on the bid portal the listing of the project name and when it was posted.

Although it is subject to change, based on documents made public by the CFTOD, it looks like the project will begin on January 12th, 2026, and go through March 13th, 2026.

It also appears that there will be a break in the middle of the project, with a brief reopening planned from February 11th, 2026, to February 17th, 2026. This is most likely to plan for the busy holiday weekend, as that falls on Presidents’ Day.

Lime Garage parking
According to Planet Bids, the CFTOD stated they are “seeking the services of a qualified general contractor to perform structural maintenance on the District’s Lime Parking Garage. The Lime Garage is a five-story concrete parking structure that supports the Disney Springs area within the District. Repairs will be focused on crack sealing on all ramps throughout the garage, per the repair procedures outlined in this scope of services.”
The Lime Garage is one of the shopping district’s most used garages! It offers over 2,000 parking spaces and direct pedestrian access to Disney Springs Town Center. It will be interesting to see how crowd flow looks and how parking in general holds up.

Access from the Lime Garage
When the Lime Garage is closed, you can use the Orange Garage and the Grapefruit Garage, along with the surface parking. If you’re staying at a Disney World Resort, don’t forget you can use their free bus transportation to take you right to Disney Springs! While Disney Springs can get busy at any time, the evenings and weekends are the busiest, and trust us, you don’t always want to deal with parking far away and walking in, especially if the Lime Garade is closed.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for any more updates, and be sure to drop them! To stay up to date with the latest Disney news, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog.
