If you don’t like celebrating Christmas as early as possible, take your “bah humbugs” and get outta here! Honestly, we get it. The holidays seem to come earlier and earlier each year, but we still love seeing the festivities around Disney World.

Happy Holidays from Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom is in the midst of big changes, but that’s not what we’re here to discuss! Next week, the park is going to look very different than it does right now. Grab your Santa hats, and let’s dive into what you can expect.
The time for larger-than-life decorations, scents of hot chocolate, and shopping for presents is drawing near! Next week, Magic Kingdom is transforming from the most magical theme park into the most festive theme park.

2024 Christmas Decorations
Christmas in Magic Kingdom officially kicks off on November 7th, 2025, thanks to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! This special ticketed after-hours event really signifies the beginning of the holiday season in Disney World. It runs on select nights from November 7th until December 21st this year, and there is so much to see and do.

The party means decorations cover the theme park, plus you don’t need an after-hours ticket just to see them. The massive Christmas tree, toy soldiers, colorful wreaths, and more should start appearing any day now so they’re ready for the beginning of the party season.

Christmas in Magic Kingdom
The entire park takes on a different atmosphere during this season, and we think it might just be the best time to go. Somehow, the parks feel even more special than they already do!

The party also brings with it tons of new snacks! Some of them you can only get during the party, and others are available all day long.

Snacks galore!
Disney recently announced over 40 new treats for this holiday season, and we can’t stop drooling over them!

If you don’t want to spend a ton of money on food during the party, they even offer a cookie and hot chocolate stroll during the party! The cookies and hot chocolate are included in your park ticket, so you can snack to your heart’s content.

Free cookies and drinks at the event!
Not only can you try TONS of new snacks, but you can also see tons of special entertainment. They have shows like Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks!

That isn’t all, though! Some of the rides even feature holiday overlays! Space Mountain — Holiday Run, Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays, and the Jingle Cruise (which is also available to day guests) are all part of the party fun.

Characters will also start donning their special holiday outfits so they can join in on the fun.

Magic Kingdom isn’t the only park getting in on the fun, though! Hollywood Studios hosts Jollywood Nights on select evenings. EPCOT is home to the Festival of the Holidays. Animal Kingdom even gets in on the fun with special nighttime shows, decorations, and more.

We have been eagerly awaiting the party, decorations, and so much more! We’re just scratching the surface on what you can expect to find in Magic Kingdom (we haven’t even mentioned snow on Main Street, yet!), so be sure to stick around for more updates, reviews, and more.
