Disney World has been rid of virtual queues for a while… but that’s all changing soon.

Disney often uses virtual queues to handle demand for rides, merchandise releases, and now, stores. This way, you can snag a spot in a virtual line and go about your day before being called back when it’s your time. A new store is opening at Disney Springs soon, and with it, a new virtual queue.
Heads up! Disney announced that The Disney Drop Shop will be opening at Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs on November 21st. The Disney Drop Shop will be your one-stop shop for buying blind box releases, exclusive merchandise, and collectible brands like Cosbi, Beast Kingdom, and Popmart.

If you’re interested in visiting The Disney Drop Shop when it opens on November 21st, a virtual waitlist will be in place to enter the shop’s location. Disney hasn’t shared how long the virtual waitlist will last or if it’s just for opening day, but make sure you check your My Disney Experience app on November 21st or later to join the virtual waitlist if you do want to visit.
Disney also shared that you won’t be able to use any discounts (Annual Passholder, DVC, etc.) for merchandise bought from The Disney Drop Shop, so keep that in mind.

Cosbi is a series of toys by Hot Toys of cute collectible Japanese figures. Beast Kingdom is a Taiwanese collectible brand known for high-quality figures and merchandise. Popmart is a character-based company and designer of blind box collectibles. Popmart is also the brand behind the HIGHLY popular Labubu toys, so it’s possible that Labubus may be available here in the future!

Online rumors have been circulating that the shop will have dedicated areas for influencers who want to film or stream unboxing videos. However, Disney did not mention that in its announcement, so we will have to see what happens when The Disney Drop Shop officially opens.
