Cold weather is coming to Disney World, according to News 6. While much of the country has been dealing with a strong winter storm bringing snow, sleet, ice, and frigid temperatures, Central Florida reached near-record highs on Sunday. However, the winter storm is sweeping into Central Florida overnight, bringing cold weather to Disney World starting the evening of January 26th.
The cold weather will remain in the area, bringing cold weather advisories and freeze warnings. According to the forecast, cold temperatures will persist at Disney World for several days. On Tuesday morning, around 3 AM, the feels-like temperature in Orlando will be 31 degrees. On Sunday, February 1st, the low temperature is currently 28 degrees with a high of 48 degrees.
While Florida is known as the Sunshine State, and most people probably think of warm weather when thinking about Florida, cool weather does happen! It is always important to check the weather before you head to Disney World and pack layers if needed, so you are prepared. Over the next few days, evening temperatures will be quite chilly, and you will want a jacket if you plan to stay for the nighttime show or get a last ride in as the park closes. Also, be prepared for cool temperatures in the morning (and even throughout the whole day some days!).
If you are headed to Disney World soon, make sure you are prepared for the cooler weather! Make sure you have a jacket, and we also recommend packing layers for days when it gets warmer in the afternoons. That way, you can take a layer or two off to stay comfortable, then add them back as the sun goes down and temperatures begin to drop again. Over the next 10 days, according to The Weather Channel, the highest temperature currently forecasted is on February 4th at 70 degrees. Most days, the high temperature will be in the low to high 60s, but a few days will see a high of 48 to 56 degrees, with lows reaching 28 degrees.
