Yes, you know we love going to Disney World, and we know all of you do too. However, you might need to take a quick break and run over to an underrated theme park in Orlando — and that theme park is LEGOLAND Florida!

LEGOLAND
This year, LEGOLAND is filled with a long list of exciting events happening that you won’t want to miss. Well, one of those exciting days is here, and LEGOLAND just got a MASSIVE upgrade! For all you LEGO lovers and theme park goers out there, you’re going to want to see this.
LEGOLAND Florida is opening its first-ever indoor roller coaster, the Galacticoaster, on February 27th! This new ride is now the park’s most technologically advanced ride to date. Note that we weren’t able to take photos or film on the ride, but we’re sharing everything else!
This space-themed coaster reaches up to 40 mph and features ride vehicles that seat four passengers in one row. Oh, and there’s a new character named Space Creature!
The ride also features unique customization elements. There are more than 620 combinations of decorative vehicle elements, including nose, wing, and tail color. It makes every ride truly different! Of course, we customized ours to be all about FOOD.
From the queue to the preshow, the Galactic window to the universe above your head is miniaturized for this ride.
There is a LEGO animatronic that tells you about the adventure you’re about to go on in the preshow.
This is an omnicoaster, so you do rotate while also going on a coaster track — it honestly reminded us of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. It is a really similar experience, just made smaller and with the same euphoric feeling. If you ask us, this is the reason to come to LEGOLAND Florida now.
We can’t wait for even more adventures on this brand-new space coaster! It looks like we might find ourselves in LEGOLAND a lot more than we have been before. For more theme park news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog.

Disclosure: In nearly all circumstances, Disney Food Blog writers and photographers pay full price for their own travel, hotel, food, beverage, and event tickets. We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by LEGOLAND to attend their media preview of the Galacticoaster. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy.
