Please, Disney! Stop with the closures! We can’t take any more!

Well, we might just have to. One of the restaurants we really love to grab breakfast and lunch at is closing down awhile, and we’re pretty bummed.
The Grand Floridian Cafe will temporarily close for a refresh from mid-July to October 2026. Brunch will continue to be offered, but it will temporarily move to Citricos, and guests may see or hear the refurbishment work during the daytime hours.

We’re not particularly surprised, as there have been many refurbishments at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and they will continue until early 2027. Recently, we saw the lobby undergo a major refurbishment, with new furniture and carpet…

…and add a new birdcage-themed bar, The Perch, which we totally love.

The Grand Floridian Tea Room is also reopening soon, having been closed since the 2020 closures. It’s gotten a full refurbishment, including a brand-new menu, all themed around Alice in Wonderland.

1900 Park Fare, a character buffet, reopened in 2024, but that was also after many years of closures starting in 2020. We’re glad to see the Grand Floridian getting all the love it needs right now!
