Disney really said, “Ask, and you will receive.” We have been begging for a partial day ticket option for Disney World, for those days when you just can’t commit to the whole day. Lucky for us, Disney has brought back the ticket deal better than before.
Disney World previously released a TON of discounts for the summer, but it seems like they’re not done yet. A NEW discount is now available where you can get cheaper tickets if you visit the theme parks later in the day, and we’ve got ALL the details!
If you just want to spend your Disney World mornings this summer kicking back at the hotel pool and enjoying your hotel’s dining options, you can get a discounted ticket for the theme parks if you visit them after 2 PM. The ticket covers all four parks, so you can pick one with your ticket (yes, you can use it to go to Magic Kingdom!!). You can get the discount for a 2-day or 3-day ticket with admission to one park per day after 2 PM, which is valid for dates from May 26th through July 29th.
Pricing for the tickets depends on the start day, but a 2-day ticket will run anywhere from $118 per day to $156 per day. The cheapest dates are from mid-July through the end of that month. A 3-day ticket will run anywhere from $116 per day to $154 per day, with late July offering the lowest prices. This is a discount of around $30 to $50 per day from the standard all-day ticket.
This ticket deal, combined with one of Disney World’s hotel deals, could save you a lot of money on your summer trip, especially if you’re okay only spending about half a day at the theme parks. You’ll also have to make sure you make Lightning Lane selections for after 2 PM each day if you make those in advance.
Why is this such a big deal? Well, now you don’t need to commit to a whole park day! To get the most out of a normal park ticket, you’ll likely want to get there early and go from open to close, which is pretty dang exhausting. This is also great for parents who know their kids can’t handle a full day in the parks yet, and you can start your morning with a relaxing breakfast at the resort, check out the pool or water parks, or even just sleep in. We love having more flexibility with our tickets!

It’s a start but the final touch on discounted tickets would be for a Senior Entry ticket without any rides. How about an entry ticket that only allows you entry with Dining and shopping access only. This would allow seniors to spend time with young adults but without any rides. To see and participate with families where seniors would not ride alone, but watch the smiles and family time. Now, I wold buy that cuz the only rides I typically use is the WDW train and Wedway People mover. Think about being able to have lunch, a snack and access to family time while the young ride the rides and I just watch and take pictures.
A Long time ago, there was a late in the day ticket at Epcot for people who wanted to cruise around world Showcase to eat. I really wish they would bring that back. My Husband is not really a Disney lover. We vacation there in the spring because he is the perfect husband. The only problem is he would love to eat t Monsieur Paul or Tutto Gusto or any number of Epcot locations, but it is not worth it to pay an entire day to eat at an Epcot restaurant. It was a great perk I used once or twice before I became an annual pass holder.
Love this idea! But wish they would offer it year round. No way will I go to WDW in the summer…..which is probably why all the best deals are May through September.
It’s a great idea…for Disneyland, which is usually open until midnite.
