Harry Potter: A Hogwarts Express Adventure is an hour-long live show touring nationwide soon. Theatergoers will literally board a slow-moving train to ride the Hogwarts Express for some magical hijinks!
The show includes scripted scenes, puppetry, illusions, live singing, dancing, and a great deal of audience interaction. Plus, you’ll be able to participate in competitions with Hogwarts hosts to rack up points for your Hogwarts House. The opening date was just revealed, and it’s happening sooner than you might think!
There’s only one thing we love more than theme parks – and that’s the food and drinks! We made a free map of the best drink options from Butterbeer to hidden gems at the best Universal park, Epic Universe.
Like all live shows, Harry Potter: A Hogwarts Express Adventure needs actors. So when we saw a casting call for the show, we were surprised to find some information on the opening date and the first stop of the tour! The attraction will open at the Southern California Railway Museum in Perris, California. The historic museum opened in 1956, focusing on Southern California railroad history. They have a functional railroad with steam trains, so the Hogwarts Express could already be built!
We also have an official opening date! Performances will begin July 24th and will run until September 27th, 2026. There are three to five Hogwarts Express departures per day, with exact times yet to be announced. Since the Southern California Railway Museum is only open from 9 AM to 5 PM, we expect the departure schedule to be mostly mid-day or early afternoon.
Before boarding the Hogwarts Express, there will be a fun pre-boarding experience! You’ll board the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 3/4, where you can grab a photo before you hop on.
On the Hogwarts Express, you can join house competitions, cast spells, and face thrilling obstacles as you celebrate the magic of Harry Potter. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Harry Potter news!
