If you’re prone to impulse shopping, EPCOT can be seriously dangerous for your wallet.

World Showcase at EPCOT
Between the unique gift shops tucked inside each pavilion and the endless themed merchandise throughout World Showcase, there’s no shortage of tempting souvenirs around every corner. Before you know it, you may end up spending way more than you planned and regretting a few of those purchases later!
First up, you’re probably going to regret dropping a cool $79K on that crystal model of Spaceship Earth. You can find this unique souvenir inside Kunstarbeit in Kristal in the Germany Pavilion. It may seem like a fun idea at the time, but when you buy a souvenir that costs more than most cars, your bank account is probably going to scream at you.

She is beautiful!
One thing that EPCOT has in spades? Figment merchandise. He gets his own festival collections AND his own gift shop. It can be super tempting to buy a bunch of Figment paraphernalia, but the problem is — it only works in EPCOT. That’s the only park the character has a presence in, and out in the real world, people who aren’t Disney fans have no idea who he is. If that doesn’t bother you at all though, go ahead!

Figment Merchandise
In various places around EPCOT, we’ve spotted this Spaceship Earth cookie jar. If you’re a die-hard EPCOT fan, this is sincerely tempting to take home. But like the gauntlet, it’s a pretty bulky souvenir that can be difficult to lug around or fit in your suitcase. And even when you get home, how often will you actually have it filled with cookies? Be honest.

Over in France, you can find a miniature Eiffel Tower for $49.95. It has two different light modes. However, do you actually need this? Probably not. And no shade to the France pavilion at EPCOT, but we feel like this is not worth almost $50!

Moving on to the United Kingdom, at The Tea Caddy, there is a stunning Jane Austen-themed teapot that is a very unique gift. However, you’d better really love it for $160. Also, the logistics of getting this home from Disney World sound like a nightmare.

In the China pavilion, Good Fortune Gifts sells small puppets for $22.95. Practically, what are you going to do with a puppet? My in-laws actually made this mistake when my husband was a child and bought one of these. They said he played with it once, and then it collected dust for the rest of the time.

Both in the Creations Shop and the Treasures of Xandar, you can find the iconic Marvel infinity gauntlets. These are super cool souvenirs, and you can even collect all the infinity stones to go in them, but there’s a big problem — they’re HUGE. These things are seriously bulky, and they get quite cumbersome to carry around or to try to fit in your suitcase to go home. Nobody wants to wear a plastic glove all day in a theme park.

Inside Mission Space Cargo Bay, you’ll find a mix of Star Wars and NASA-themed merchandise, including freeze-dried astronaut food. This is definitely one of those items that catch the attention of kids, and you might find yourself giving in to buy it. But we suggest you skip the freeze-dried ice cream in EPCOT — this IS the park known for its delicious snacks, after all. Instead, just order some astronaut eats from Amazon after your trip.

Finally, House of Good Fortune in the China Pavilion, we’ve got to mention the dog kimonos that were sold here several years ago. Yes, they were seriously adorable, and we all wanted to buy them for our pets…but for what purpose?! When would your dog actually wear this? This was definitely one of those impulse buys for people that landed in the box of forgotten souvenirs.
