Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew is one of our favorite spots to go if we want a sugary pickup in Disney Springs, or if we know we want to start off our day with a fun breakfast.
Disney Springs as a whole is known for taking part in popular trends that appear on social media, and this is no different. If you’ve been on the dessert side of social media recently, you may have seen the Dot Cake trend, which is basically where you cover an entire cake in those small, round, dot-like rainbow sprinkles. Everglazed has decided to join in on the trend in their own unique way!
The Dot Donut is now available for $4.95, and is available in both vanilla and strawberry (meaning the icing underneath the sprinkles). A fluffy yeast donut makes up the base, and you’ll get plenty of crunches from all those sprinkles on top.
Again, the dot cake trend is where you take a cake and then cover the entire top in those small, round, dot-like sprinkles. We’ve seen it done with large cakes, single-serve cakes, and everything in between, so there’s no reason it can’t be done with a donut!
This is really just a classic vanilla donut with a lot more crunch, but it has what we love about a lot of Everglazed donuts — they’re glazed, and THEN the additional icing is put on top. The dot sprinkles added so much more crunch, which we loved, and because they’re so small, they don’t have that waxy coating flavor.
The donut itself didn’t have that feeling of sitting on the shelf too long and getting a little stale; it tasted fresh and was very fluffy. Despite all the sweet ingredients, it didn’t taste sickly sweet to us, which was a big win. It’s a solid sweet treat and a fun take on this trend.
