Ok, we get it, sometimes huge Disney announcements can be stressful. We might be getting something we’ve been wanting for a long time, or we could be hearing about something we don’t want to go. Well, these three announcements are all good news! If you didn’t hear, Disney’s BoardWalk Resort is going to look a lot different in the future, as the resort is getting some major updates.
Disney World’s BoardWalk Inn is one of the most popular resorts on Disney World property. Whether you’re staying there or not, everyone loves checking it out. At Boardwalk, you’ll find great dining spots, tasty treats, a little bit of nightlife, and an overall great vibe. Now, the resort is about to get a massive upgrade!

Hurly Burly
A new lounge is coming to Disney’s Boardwalk called Hurly-Burly! Disney has said the spot will “welcome guests for fun-filled afternoons and glamorous evenings inside a historic seaside theatre with a vibrant BoardWalk story that spans over a century.”

It will be a family-friendly spot during the day, offering activities and trivia. At night, Hurly Burly becomes a lounge for anyone 21 and older to listen to live music and enjoy coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites. Disney never confirmed this, but we have a hunch that this new lounge will take over the spot where Jellyrolls used to be. The concept art looks very similar to the old stage in the bar, but we’ll just have to wait and see!

Basin
It was also announced that Basin is coming to the BoardWalk, and it will open in late 2026. The shop will offer a curated collection of handcrafted products made with quality ingredients, including natural soaps, botanical bath salts, bath bombs, body butters, lip salves, shampoo and conditioner bars, and more. Not only will you be able to shop here, but you can also take a look at the interactive elements that make the experience especially unique. The interactive elements will include a custom bath tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press for a personalized finishing touch.

New Quick Service
Lastly, Disney teased a new quick service coming to BoardWalk! Disney didn’t say much about the new dining spot, other than the fact that something is coming. Disney confirmed more details will be revealed later this summer. The Boardwalk could use another quick service, as there really is only the Pizza Window, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, and the Boardwalk Deli.
