Running out of places to charge your devices is one of the most annoying problems you can have on a Disney World vacation.
Between phones, MagicBands, portable chargers, smartwatches, earbuds, and tablets, it doesn’t take long to realize that a standard hotel room outlet setup isn’t always enough. That’s why there’s one item we pack on every single Disney World trip, no matter which hotel we’re staying in. If you’re looking for a simple way to make your hotel room more functional and keep all your vacation essentials powered up, this is the item we’d recommend first.
You’re Going to Wish You Packed This on Night One
There are few things more frustrating than getting back to your Disney World hotel after a long park day and realizing you don’t have enough outlets for everything that needs charging. Most of us are traveling with multiple devices now. Maybe your phone needs power before tomorrow’s Lightning Lane selections, your MagicBand needs a boost, your portable charger is nearly empty, and your travel companions have devices charging, too. Suddenly, that outlet behind the nightstand becomes very valuable real estate. That’s exactly why we’ve become huge fans of the Flat Plug Power Strip.
In fact, it’s one of the few extra items that has earned a permanent spot on our Disney packing list. This compact travel-friendly power strip turns a single outlet into three standard outlets, two USB-A ports, and two USB-C ports, allowing you to charge up to seven devices at the same time. The design is especially useful in Disney hotel rooms. The ultra-flat plug sits close against the wall, while the six-foot braided extension cord gives you flexibility when outlets aren’t conveniently located. We also love that it includes USB-C ports, which means fewer charging bricks cluttering up the room.
Another reason it’s become one of our favorite travel essentials is its compact size. It slips easily into a suitcase, backpack, or carry-on without taking up much space. Since it doesn’t include surge protection, it’s also cruise-friendly if you’re extending your vacation beyond Disney World. After a few trips using it, we found ourselves wondering how we ever traveled without one. Instead of playing outlet roulette every night, everything gets plugged in before bed and is ready to go the next morning.
Take a look at it before your next Disney vacation.
When you’re spending long days in the parks, having fully charged devices can make your trip a whole lot easier. A simple packing upgrade like this can eliminate one of those small but surprisingly common vacation headaches.
