If you’re visiting Disney World, you’ll never NOT have an answer to the question “Where should we eat?” That’s because you have a multitude of choices on Disney property that you might not think you should leave the Disney bubble when you visit.
However, if you’re willing to travel a little, you might want to visit Four Flamingos: A Richard Blais Florida Kitchen at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. After all, this celebrity chef-led Michelin-recommended restaurant has some big things planned for the summer!
Four Flamingos is inviting YOU to experience its restaurant in new ways this summer with activities that include everything from hands-on experiences, pickleball, and mixology, starting with the Guac It Out Challenge and Mixology Class on July 29th at 4 P.M. This class will give you a chance to mix up four signature margaritas while enjoying a live liquid nitrogen margarita demonstration presented by Chef Blais.
Teams will then join the Guac It Out Challenge, where they have to create original guacamole recipes using mystery ingredients paired with cocktails, all to be judged by Chef Blais and the Four Flamingos culinary team. The cost for the class and competition is $99 per person, and you can get tickets here.
On July 30th, you can join in the “Blais of Glory” Pickleball Tournament. You’ll rotate through 15-minute matches playing with and against Chef Blais. Afterward, you’ll attend a reception at Little Flamingos with light bites, beverages, and a meet-and-greet with the chef. Don’t want to play? Spectator tickets are also available. Player tickets are $105 plus tax and gratuity, while spectator tickets are $75 plus tax and gratuity. An optional beverage package is available for $45. Get tickets here.
Enjoy a BBQ Pig’nic with Chef Blais on July 31st from 6:30 P.M. to 9 P.M with a menu including the following:
- Puerto Rican style lechon asado, slow-roasted & seasoned with Four Flamingos signature Key Lime mojo
- House-made sauce bar with jerk glaze, smoked avocado & jalapeño chimichurri, pineapple rum glaze, Vega’s hot sauce, and more
- Sides including Caribbean snapper ceviche, Papas Pilar maduros, mango kimchi slaw, yucca al ajillo, platanos en escabeche salad, arroz con gandules and passionfruit & lime pepper wings
- Dessert bar with mango & basil arroz con leche, guava & cheese quesitos, coconut macaroons, tres leches tiramisu, dulce de leche tartlets
There will also be a Q&A with Chef Blais. Tickets are $126.97, which includes food, non-alcoholic beverages, and gratuity. An additional beverage package is available for $45. Grab tickets here.
Finally, you can enjoy the Little Flamingos Lakeside Pop-Up from July 26th through 30th and August 1st through August 7th “in an elegant and intimate waterside setting overlooking Lake Windsong.” This pop-up event will feature a curated menu of Four Flamingos favorites, as well as some signature cocktails and “a couple of refreshing new additions.” Reservations are limited and can be acquired through OpenTable.
We’ll keep an eye out for more foodie events in the Disney World area, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
