D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event
We’re getting a bunch of news from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Experience this weekend, and that includes updates on films from Disney and its other studios. Now, we’ve got more information about an upcoming Pixar film!
Earlier in 2026, we learned about a NEW Pixar movie that was in the works called Ghost Market. This film hadn’t yet been announced publicly by the company, but was revealed in an interview with Pete Docter. Now, thanks to this weekend’s D23 event, we’ve got more details.

The movie has officially been announced, and it’ll be arriving in Spring 2028! This is Pixar’s first-ever ghost movie, centered around a character named Kyle who is a content creator in Chicago. He’s forced to vacation in Hawaii and stumbles into a hidden market. Basically, his hunt for a late-night snack turns into something much bigger!
