We have BIG news for those looking to purchase a new Annual Pass.
We have previously shared that Annual Pass sales could be paused in order to assist with park capacity. Now, Disney World has updated their website and have done just that.
Yesterday was quite the exciting day over at Disneyland Resort. We stopped by Festival of Holidays AND we went to the first Merriest Nites After Hours Event! And you know what that means?! Well, it means we tried lots of new eats!
A few of the treats are exclusive to Merriest Nites, like the Toffee Churros, the Cookies & Cream Pretzel, and the Seasonal Beignets. We’re taking a look at those beignets now to see how they compare to the normal ones you can get in Disneyland!
“ALOHA,” my friends!
Actually, scratch that… I’d like to say “Aloha” to our family of DFB readers.
Why? Because today we’re talking about all things ‘Ohana! And if you’ve dined at this beloved Disney World restaurant– or if you’ve ever seen the movie Lilo & Stitch — you are likely familiar with this phase: “Ohana means FAMILY.”
That said, when we’re talking specifically about ‘Ohana, the popular all-you-care-to-enjoy Table Service restaurant in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, ‘Ohana often means even more to a lot of people… like our readers! They’ve been kind enough to share their stories of ‘Ohana with us through a conversation on Facebook, including their great and not-so-great experiences.
And we, in turn, are sharing their thoughts and stories with you here, so you can know what to expect and perhaps how to prepare for your first — or next! — visit to ‘Ohana.
So pull up a chair, relax, and and get ready to dig in to the feast of information about what ‘Ohana, the restaurant, really means… . [Read more…]
Can you believe it?! It’s officially Disney World’s 50th anniversary!
To help kick off the 18-month celebration, Disney World has released a 1971 merchandise collection and there are 150 snacks (Yes, you read that right.) coming to the parks! Now, we found a new Magic Kingdom map that has been released to help guests navigate all of the 50th anniversary happenings.
We are just a few short weeks away from Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
In preparation for the 18 month-long event, Disney World has introduced new fireworks shows, spruced up Cinderella Castle, announced special character costumes, special merchandise, and more. On top of all of this, Disney is adding 50 interactive GOLDEN character statues to the parks. All 50 statues have been announced and now the first 50th anniversary statues have been spotted in Magic Kingdom.
The FAB FIVE. All-you-care-to-enjoy EATS. Literally just steps away from the Magic Kingdom.
You guessed it… we’re talking about Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!
A visit to Chef Mickey’s is practically a rite of passage for first-time Disney World guests, and many families find themselves making a Disney vacation tradition out of it. But today, we’re not just talking about our latest visit to review breakfast or dinner at this Character Meal. Instead, we’re sharing YOUR stories at this super popular dining spot.
Because even with all the awesome ingredients in place for a practically perfect Character Meal, sometimes things aren’t so practically perfect at Chef Mickey’s. Our readers shared their experiences (and even some of their struggles or “Fails”) with us on Facebook so together we can help all of you considering your first — or next — meal at Chef Mickey’s.
Before we get to chatting, we want to note that while Chef Mickey’s is indeed one of the few Character Meals you can enjoy in Disney World right now, the experience has been modified in keeping with current safety measures. Characters are not stopping directly by each table and are instead posing for pictures from a distance, and Chef Mickey has even changed up the meal itself, as we’ll discuss shortly.
But for now, strap on your big chef’s hat and settle in, friends!
Because someone very special (and his best friends) wants to say, “Hiya, pal” at Chef Mickey’s! [Read more…]
Bonjour, ma chère and mon cher! “It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you” to Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom!
From the day it opened as part of New Fantasyland in November 2012, Be Our Guest Restaurant has been and remains one of the most in-demand dining experiences in Disney World. From the onset, it was unlike any other restaurant in Disney World, offering a variety of dining experiences (based on the time of day: breakfast, lunch, or dinner) in a setting plucked straight out of one of the most beloved Disney animated films, Beauty and the Beast.
The demand for Be Our Guest is rivaled, in fact, only by a meal at that other Castle in Magic Kingdom 😉 — Cinderella’s Royal Table. And much like we did when we discussed Cinderella’s Royal Table recently, we asked our readers to share some of the struggles (or “fails”) that they’ve experienced at Be Our Guest Restaurant in the hopes of helping future visitors feel better prepared for what to expect and consider if this is truly the best option for their vacation dining choices.
So grab your enchanted mirror — since I know you keep one handy! — and gaze with us into this remarkable setting… [Read more…]
Hear ye, hear ye! Lords and ladies of the Magic Kingdom! You are hereby most cordially invited to join us at Cinderella’s Royal Table!
A meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the most coveted dining experiences in Disney World. After all, you’re dining INSIDE the single most iconic landmark in all of Walt Disney World — Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle — in the presence of true Disney Royalty.
What could possibly go wrong?
Weeellll, as it turns out…a few things, actually. In fact, we asked our readers to tell us about some of their — ahem — not-so-magical experiences dining in the Castle: AKA Cinderella’s Royal Table FAILS. And YOU had some stories to share!
We should start by saying that — for the purposes of this post – we’re discussing the traditional experience at Cinderella’s Royal Table as a Character Meal for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner featuring Disney Princesses. Keep in mind that Character Dining is NOT taking place at the Royal Table right now in keeping with current safety measures (though Cinderella does make physically-distanced appearances).
But, as more Character Dining returns to Disney World while restrictions continue to ease, we thought this could be a good time to talk about this exceptionally popular experience in case you’re doing some future Disney World vacation planning! Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the hottest tickets in town, but should YOU plan to eat there? [Read more…]
Hello from Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort!
We’re back with the Fab Five at this Disney World Character Meal to check out Chef Mickey’s Family Feast for dinner.
You may recall that the Mickey and the gang have already been serving up breakfast since December (after an initial reopening without characters) as Disney World is slowly but surely bringing back more Character Dining options for guests. But dinner just made its return to Chef Mickey’s, and so we’re back on the scene, too, to bring you our review of this newly modified dining experience!
And when we say “modified,” we’re referring both to the character interactions and the meal itself, because Chef Mickey has got some brand new dishes to show you, served up in an all-you-care-to-enjoy fashion.
