Disney World does something to children. Maybe it’s the heat, or the sugar, or the fact that they woke up at 5:47 AM because their parents watched every “rope drop” video on YouTube and have been operating on caramel apples and adrenaline ever since. Whatever the reason, spend enough time in Disney World, and eventually you will see a child do something so spectacularly strange that you have to stop, stare, and briefly wonder about all of the factors that brought you to this moment.
And listen, kids are kids. They’re curious and creative, and their impulse control is still under construction. Sometimes the weird thing they’re doing is completely harmless and objectively hilarious. Other times, you find yourself wondering why somebody is licking the Haunted Mansion queue. Yes, licking.
