It’s officially hurricane season and Florida is experiencing its first major storm of the year.
Hurricane Idalia strengthened to a dangerous Category 4 storm as it passed through the Gulf of Mexico, and then made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane in the Big Bend area of Florida. Some of Disney World’s experiences have closed due to the extreme weather — like Typhoon Lagoon and some of its miniature golf courses — but its four main parks have remained open.
