When Tiana’s Palace was initially announced, Disney provided the following story behind the eatery: “With its mouthwatering menu, exceptional entertainment, and warmhearted hospitality, Tiana’s Palace quickly became a treasured meeting place in New Orleans. Princess Tiana used her newfound success to support surrounding neighborhoods, which led to her role as a community leader.”

Guests can look forward to comforting Southern dishes “inspired by Cajun and Creole cuisine” including House Gumbo, a Po’Boy and Muffuletta sandwich, and Gulf Shrimp and Grits.

Tiana’s Palace is a reimagined restaurant — and in fact, it has replaced the former French Market Restaurant. Fans will be happy to know that the Mint Julep Bar, which was located in the French Market, still has a home at Tiana’s place!

This new restaurant is in keeping with the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction slated to open in late 2024.
