News! Beer Dinner at Downtown Disney’s Portobello Restaurant

Even more beer news on the blog this week!!

Teaming up with Orlando Brewing, Downtown Disney’s Portobello Restaurant has announced a Beer Dinner for February 22, 2012!

Portobello’s Executive Chef Steven Richard has teamed up with Celebrity Chefs Tony Mantuano and Sara Grueneberg to create a four-course, trattoria-inspired menu with perfectly paired brews.

Enjoy interacting with Chef Mantuano (Top Chef Masters, Season two) and Chef Grueneberg (Top Chef-Texas).

We’ve been told that this will book up quickly, so make your reservations soon!

Reception: 6:30 p.m.
Dinner: 7:00 p.m.
Cost: $59.95 per person, plus tax and gratuity.


Salumi, formaggi, crostini, farmer’s market pickled vegetables
Pairing – Hefe-weizen

Portobello Bread, Olive Oil, and Garlic

Drunken Gnocchi – Guanciale, caramelized onion, tomato, deglazed with Orlando Brewing Organic Red Ale
Pairing – Organic Red Ale

Braised short rib – Slow cooked with Orlando Brewing Eagle Stout served over polenta
Pairing – Eagle Stout

Biramisu – Portobello’s version of tiramisu made with Orlando Brewing Black Water Porter
Pairing – Black Water Porter

    I wouldn’t go. We went to Portobello last month for lunch and it was awful. I’d never go back, especially paying more for a special event!

    I love beer but I tend not to go to beer dinners as there is always too much food for me and my wife doesn’t drink beer. But I like the fact that these restaurants enlarging their scope.
