Are you looking forward to seeing Fantasmic! at Disneyland, but waiting to grab a seat… well, not so much?
Beginning November 12, guests will be able to book dining experiences for Fantasmic shows starting December 12. Each dining package includes a Fastpass for Fantasmic (which will be a requirement for seats in reserved viewing starting December 12).
There are four packages to choose from:
Guests can book the Blue Bayou Restaurant “Fantasmic!” Dinner Dining Package. This package includes one three-course meal (an appetizer, entree, and dessert, along with a beverage), a special Fantasmic! souvenir, along with the Fastpass for Fantasmic! The price (tax and gratuity not included) is $61.00 for adults, $23.00 for children ages 3-9. Dinner seatings will begin at 4:00 pm.
The River Belle Terrace will open exclusively to guests enjoying the River Belle Terrace “Fantasmic!” Dinner Dining Package. While River Belle Terrace will remain open as a quick service for breakfast until 2:00 pm every day, the spot will transition into a Table Service experience for Fantasmic guests. Dinner seatings will begin at 3:00 pm, and will include one three-course meal (an appetizer, entree, and dessert, along with a beverage) along with the Fantasmic Fastpass. The price (tax and gratuity not included) is $41.99 for adults, $21.99 for children ages 3-9.
Prefer to fill up the critters in your party in Critter Country? The Hungry Bear Restaurant “Fantasmic!” Show Dessert Party features a selection of dessert and beverages, along with the Fantasmic Fastpass. This experience includes live entertainment and begins 90 minutes prior to the start of Fantasmic! The price is the same for adults and children: $29.99, and tax and gratuity are included.
Aladdin’s Oasis “Fantasmic!” On-The-Go includes a grab-and-go meal along with the Fantasmic Fastpass. Adults can choose from the following entrees: Herb marinated chicken with seasonal vegetables, Lasagna Bolognese, or Vegetarian Lasagna. Adults will also receive a salad, dinner roll, beverage, and dessert.
Children can choose from Kids chicken, pasta, and macaroni and cheese, and will also receive a serving of seasonal vegetables, fresh fruit, a dinner roll, a beverage, and a Mickey cookie. Meals can be picked up between 12:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The price (tax not included) is $19.99 for adults, $13.99 for children ages 3-9.
Advanced Reservations for these experiences is highly recommended, as space is limited. Booking opens on November 12 for shows beginning December 12, and can be made by calling 714-781-DINE (714-781-3463) or online by visiting disneyland.com .

This is great news! Locals with annual passes make it really hard to find a good seat for Fantasmic most of the time – I love that Disneyland is giving this option.

Sad they are taking the premium viewing away. So much better for my mom, but think this is a great idea. Works well at DHS (or seemed like it…we had a FP)and WOC.

Can they stop trying to make anaheim into orlando?
will says
this is great. who wants to wait for 4 hours for fantasmic esp when i was gong to dine at Blue Bayou anyway.
Erin says
I wonder if any of it will include the options to SIT to watch the show. We did the dessert package this year, just to have a seat. I had decided that next year, we would bring a blanket and camp out at the front so that we could be sitting to watch the show. If any of these packages allow you to sit, we will buy it. Sorry—we’re not lazy, but we go for 10 days at a time and my feet/legs appreciate a break!
Angelina says
Not sure how I feel about this because I worry that the reserved seating will be the front which is where I always camp out to stand and watch the show anyway. Feels like this might suck for all those people who don’t want to buy the dining package.
Are they going to be doing FP only viewing, like WOC, in the future? That I would be ok with. At least it puts everyone on a level playing field.

The website says “all Fantasmic! fastpasses are complimentary, and no refunds or exchanges will be given even if the show is cancelled.”
So if the FPs are complimentary, why do the “packages” cost $20-$30 more than the normal cost of dinner?
Brandon says
I get that they can make good money off these packages but I question setup of these reserved areas in Anaheim.
In Florida, with an actual Amphitheatre it’s easy to rope off a section and ensure everyone has a seat. In California, I just worry that they’ll either make too much of the viewing area reserved OR pack it so full kids can’t see. And we know what happens when kids can’t see…folks put kids on their shoulders so then no one else can see.
FWIW I had done the package in Florida back in 2012. It worked out well (lunch at Brown Derby and seating at the early show) and the reserved section was barely half full.
Laurel says
Brandon- I suspect it would work the way WoC does, where certain sections are for dining and others are for regular fastpass, and then the non roped off areas are “take your chances”. Fantasmic in Florida is the only amphitheater show with a dining option, but they also do fastpasses for all of the fireworks/parades now as well. You just have a special section saved for you, although they usually let in others as it gets closer to viewing time.
DisneyFaninNE says
Are the fastpasses for any of the dinners all the same? Or is the seating different depending on the dinner option selected? And is the dinner fastpass different from a general fastpass for the attraction?
Lesley says
For dining packages, it is 100% seating. Blue bayou is front and center. River belle and Hungry bear are on each side of BB, but still excellent viewing, and only separated with tape on the ground, so when cast members turn their backs I saw people moving over into BB.
Fastpass is all seating too; areas were at the sides and behind the front walkway. Fast passes for the early show were gone by 12, but they still had ones for the later show in the late afternoon. Standby is all standing, which would be truly annoying.
But it was an absolute madhouse in that area before the show. I would absolutely avoid unless going to see the show
I got the Riverbelle package a week ago. Food was great but unless it’s a special occasion, I wouldn’t pay the extra money.

because of the new fast pass for Fantasmic at Disneyland i was worried that i would not get good seating therefore i felt pressured to buy a dining package i chose with the Blue Bayou because disney advertises this as the best “guaranteed good view”.
The time to be seated (with reservations) was minimal. The food & service was excellent. The cushions they give you are ok.
The area for Blue Bayou is right in front! Great! Sounds like everything good so far?
Wrong – about 12 minutes into the show something went wrong and the show was cancelled immediately. there goes the “show” in “dining package”. Our jaws dropped! We thought “wow” did we just spend over $250 (3 adults/1child) for a dining package?
There were a lot of disgruntled people with the same feeling.
the bad thing about buying a dining package is that if the show is cancelled or abruptly stopped for any reason, your SOL. Disney doesn’t compensate you in any way.
you basically spent a lot of money on dinner for a show that you didn’t get to see.
would i do it again? No way! I’ll gamble with the free fast passes next time and dine elsewhere where i can still have money in my pocket

I just made my ressie for Blue Bayou and was told it was standing room only :(. I was really hoping for seating. Oh well.
Timeless says
Ya the new system sucks, I really miss the old Desert Premium viewing, at least you got good desserts, a nice chair, and a good view. If the show were to cancel they would give you a full refund even if you already ate the food. The new system is not the same.

I am happy to see all the reviews that people have posted about the dining packages for Fantasmic. I am taking my Grandchildren to Disneyland for their first time. It is actually a Birthday gift My granddaughter will be 7 while we are there and my grandson will turn 4, 3 weeks later. I want them to have the best experience possible so I made reservations for the River Belle Terrace. Now I am having reservations about my reservations. I booked this trip at a good neighbor hotel and added to Character Dining experiences to a 5 day park hopper, 6 night package. The cost 3500.00. Disney cast members are very good at selling you all kinds of things in your vacation packages and so far the customer service on the phone has been excellent. I am definitely thinking about canceling my dining and show reservations after reading some of these reviews. I will most certainly be posting reviews on everything from my hotel room to our princess makeover after our vacation.

It says starting Dec 12…are there no fantasmic dining packages at all on Dec 8?
