New at Magic Kingdom: Cheshire Cat Tails, Frusta, and Much More!

We’ve been spending a lot of time — like, A LOT — at Animal Kingdom lately. No real surprise there, as it’s home to the brand new land, Pandora — The World of AVATAR. But while entire new lands are always the biggest news, that doesn’t mean things aren’t happening all over the World.

Review: Breakfast at the New Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom’s Pandora

Kaltxi from Satu’li Canteen!

(That’s “Hello” in the Na’vi language!)

We’re back at the fast-casual restaurant in Animal Kingdom’s brand new land, Pandora — The World of AVATAR (despite the seriously crazy lines that still plague the land since its opening)!

Officially open at long last, guests are able to visit the moon of Pandora, as the story goes, thanks to ACE: Alpha Centauri Expeditions. Now that humans and the Na’vi coexist in peace, we are all welcome to explore the gorgeous landscape, and experience two new attractions with the Na’vi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage.

And the Satu’li Canteen is available to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to all the interplanetary travelers on expeditions of their own! We’ve already explored the options on the Lunch and Dinner menu, and now we’re back for a bit (or a lot!) of Breakfast.

News: Jaleo and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Opening in Disney Springs in 2018

Disney Springs is home to quite a few great restaurants including Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Florida Kitchen and Morimoto Asia. And by the end of 2018 it’ll be home to five new dining concepts! AAAH!

In addition to the previously announced Wine Bar George and The Edison, three additional restaurants are slated to open in 2017-2018.

Two new restaurants will be opening in 2018, including Jaleo, a Spanish restaurant from Chef José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup. Jaleo will “feature an extensive menu of tapas that reflect the rich regional diversity of traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine, such as paella cooked over a wood fire, hand-carved Jamon Iberico de Bellota, and wood-grilled Iberico pork.”

Movie Magic! Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Cars 3 Fun Finds!

Hey, Disney movie buffs! There are some exciting things happening on the silver screen right now, and we have some fun merch to celebrate all of your favorites!

Lightning McQueen is Back!!

Lightning McQueen is Back!!

Whether you’ve blasted off to other galaxies with the Guardians, or you’re looking forward to another high-speed adventure with Lightning McQueen, Mater, and the rest of the Cars gang, it’s gonna be an awesome summer. And we have some great gift ideas for that superfan in your life (even if that superfan is, um, you).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Looking for something to recreate the magic of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? We have you covered!

Dancing Baby Groot

I think we can all agree: Baby Groot is the cutest character that Vin Diesel has played or will ever play. So celebrate this period in his redevelopment with the super adorable Dancing Baby Groot. At almost 12 inches tall, he’s nearly the same size as his movie counterpart!

Dancing Baby Groot gets gets down to a clip from the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 soundtrack, but he also recognizes external music and will groove to just about anything, given the chance. Aaaaand — his eyes light up when he dances! Be sure to grab batteries too, though — you’ll need three AAs to power him. [Read more…]

New! Cheeseburger Poutine at The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs

Now that summer has officially (or unofficially?) begun, we all have one thing on our minds.

Grillin’!

And one of the most essential fresh-from-the-grill dishes is a juicy BURGER. Slap a piece of cheese on it and you’re there.

But what happens when one of our favorite Disney Springs counter service spots creates their own take on a meaty burger? Well, that’s when a little something called Cheeseburger Poutine is born at The Daily Poutine!

You already know poutine A) if you’re lucky enough to be Canadian or B) because we can’t stop talking about it :) . Large cut French fries, squeaky cheese curds, and brown gravy. That’s the purist’s version, and it’s a thing of beauty.

The Daily Poutine

But plenty of jazzed up versions show up around Disney World in spots like Le Cellier Steakhouse in Epcot’s Canada Pavilion, and — ever since around this time last year — The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs. And now — for the time being, at least — you can add Cheeseburger Poutine to the list, joining Italian, French, and Latin Poutine (and, of course, the Classic).

New! Chocolate Caramel Swirl at Karamell-Küche in Epcot’s Germany

Karamell-Küche has been churning out ooey, gooey caramel treats in Epcot’s Germany Pavilion since it opened nearly SEVEN years ago.

(I started this blog just over 8 years ago, by the way. Time sure flies when you’re eating your way around Walt Disney World!)

Anyway, it’s all in the name: it’s the Caramel Kitchen, brought to us by Werther’s Caramel. It’s for those of us — and there are those of us ;) — who adore all things caramel maaaaybe even a bit more than the other candy darling: CHOCOLATE.

Now, that’s not to say that Karamell-Küche doesn’t have a few things in that golden bakery case for chocoholics. Not at all. You’ll find chocolate poured over a Caramel Apple, covering a caramel square, or topping Mickey’s ears on a Krispie Treat.

And now there’s one more that the chocolate lovers — and caramel lovers, of course! — can add to the list to try.

It’s the new Chocolate Caramel Swirl.

Karamell Kuche Chocolate Swirl

Karamell Kuche Chocolate Caramel Swirl

Everything you need to know is found in the first glance: it’s a thick cut swirl of chocolate and caramel, finished with chocolate sprinkles surrounding the outer layer. Well, there is one more thing you’d probably like to know: the Chocolate Caramel Swirl comes in at $4.49 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. [Read more…]
