Join me in saying Aloha once again to Mark Hickson – Disney fan, former Disney Imagineer, Hawai’i resident food blogger – and now comfort food reviewer! Thanks, Mark for sharing this article with our readers!
Can you say “Comfort Food“?
One of the best places to get a hearty breakfast is at the famous River Belle Terrace. World famous for their signature Mickey Mouse pancakes, they also serve my favorite Eggs, Sausage, and Pancakes. You get 3 scrambled eggs, 3 sausages, and 3 pancakes, all done to perfection. Add a hot cup of coffee and you are set!
One thing that has always been consistent is the quality of the pancakes served here. The grill is set at the perfect temperature so no matter how long the cakes are on the griddle they are never, never overcooked.
Back in the 90’s I asked a cook there what the griddle temperature was. She said only her Area Supervisor knew and that it took over an hour to warm it up right. It is continuously cleaned and dressed with a special butter-oil.
Where better to have your breakfast then on the banks of the Rivers of America!

i’ve eaten at river belle only once & swore i would never again because of their very blah turkey sandwiches, but now that i know about their pancakes, i just may have to give them a try. thanks mark!
robin — I know!!! I’ve heard so many stories about Walt eating breakfast at River Belle and now I can’t wait to go!
Thanks for this. I’ll be dining at River Belle for breakfast in April for the first time. Now I know what to get!
I had heard some great things about River Belle for breakfast, so on our last trip we went there. Never again! Styrofoam plates and plastic silverware? Cold syrup in single serve containers? For the price of the breakfast ($7.99+ beverage) it just didn’t cut it for us.

Melissa — Thanks for the review!
Hi!
don’t those pancakes look yummy? Wish I could try them but unless they also offer Gluten free ones too, I’ll never be able to enjoy breakfast here. The pork bar b que is very good on a gluten free roll, and so is the turkey salad.
shaded tables, great views of the river and boats, whats not to like?
Let me end this with one of my favorite Disney lines :
Whats eatin him? Nuttin he’s at the top of the food chain. Timon / the LION KING.
