OK, who’s in the mood for a burger, fries and a shake?
You, too? Then join us at Disney’s newest burger joint, D-Luxe Burger!
Newly opened in the Town Center of Disney Springs (and by “newly” we mean TODAY!!!), D-Luxe Burger is a Disney owned and operated location specializing in gourmet burgers made with signature blend patties, freshly cut fries (with TONS of sauces), and artisanal gelato shakes — including “adult” versions.
So, yes — it’s that classic combo, indeed. But there’s definitely more than a twist or two involved…
Are you hungry yet?
Excellent… then let’s step into D-Luxe Burger and check things out!
Atmosphere
So, where exactly IS D-Luxe Burger?
Well, since literally EVERYTHING is brand new in the Town Center of Disney Springs, it’s a bit difficult to provide a well-known landmark. Perhaps this handy new Disney Springs Guide Map will help you (Just click to enlarge. D-Luxe Burger is Number 54 in the orange grouping on the map).
Ever since Disney described the setting as “eclectically comfortable Florida ranch-inspired,” I’ve been wondering exactly what that means 🙂 . And now we know!
The interior is rustic and homey (and yep, “eclectically comfortable,” as promised!). It reminds me of comfort food restaurants I’ve enjoyed in Dallas and Nashville, and gives a modern farmhouse feel.
Be sure to look up and check out the sweet ceiling tiles, high beams, and cool lighting fixtures.
And of course, it’s filled with more than a touch or two of Disney whimsy and good ol’ storytelling!
Indoor seating offers a mix of both tables and booths.
And for those who need a little modern-day mixed in with their old-fashioned ranch settings, the “bar” seating has outlets and USB plug-ins.
Oh, and just in case you were wondering… 😉
The indoor fireplace is so cozy I think I’ll look forward to sitting near it even during a Florida August. (How many Hidden Mickeys can YOU spy in the wood pile?)
That said, the covered outdoor seating offers some lovely views of the springs that are the focal point of the new Town Center.
Alright, Cowpokes! We’ve had our look around. Now it’s time to order up…
… and hunker down ‘fer a bite or two!
D-Luxe Burger is considered a counter-service restaurant, and does take the Disney Dining Plan with one quick service credit.
Eats
It’s all burgers, fries and shakes at D-Luxe Burger! And if you’re craving the traditional take, it can be all yours with an order of the Classic Cheeseburger, Fresh-Cut Fries, and a good ol’ Vanilla, Chocolate, or Strawberry Shake.
But a closer look at the menu reveals that there’s much more to it. Let’s start with the burgers: aside from the Classic, gourmet variations include the El Diablo Burger, Barbecue Burger, and the Southern Classic Burger. (All burgers are signature blend ground beef patties including brisket, angus, chuck, and shortrib. The El Diablo also includes chorizo in the blend).
For guests not into red meat, the Cluck Burger (a ground chicken patty) and the Veggie Burger are options as well.
And here are the options for the Lil’ Cowpokes in your party.
Fresh-Cut Fries are served with your choice of dipping sauces: Garlic Ranch, Horseradish, Chipotle Mayo, 3 Mustard and Honey, Buffalo Blue Cheese, and Curry Ketchup. (Yes — we got them all!)
You may choose to wash your meal down with a beer, hard soda, hard cider, or wine.
Or, of course, Fountain Sodas or Iced Tea.
And finally, we have the Shakes. You gotta respect a menu where the choices of Artisanal Gelato Shakes outnumber the entrees and sides altogether 🙂 ! The requisite Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry have a few unexpected neighbors on the menu like S’mores, Cake, and Salted Caramel.
Twists custom-made for grownups include a Vanilla Porter Shake, Godiva Chocolate and Strawberry Malt, and Smoked Bourbon Gelato Shake. And Floats also factor into the menu, with Orange, Root Beer and Cherry Coke varieties (along with alcoholic versions of the Root Beer and Orange).
There’s just one dessert option (ok, NOT counting all those shakes, that is!), but when it’s Red Velvet Burger Macarons, do you really need more 😉 ?
Sooo… what did we get?
I’m glad you asked! We started with the Southern Classic Burger.
Like the other beef options, this one starts with the signature blend beef patty: a mix of brisket, angus, chuck, and short rib.
It’s topped with Fried-Green Tomatoes, Pimento Cheese, Lettuce, and Bacon.
In a word, it’s HUGE. In a few more words ;), the burger itself was cooked perfectly to a pink center. It was SUPER juicy and tender, with the highlight of the toppings being those fried-green tomatoes, wonderfully prepared to a golden brown.
But that’s not the only one we tried… presenting, El Diablo!!
This one is made with that same signature blend beef patty, but with the addition of spicy Chorizo sausage. Toppings include Fried Banana Peppers, Pepper Jack Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, and Chipotle Mayo.
As you may have surmised by that list, this one is ABSOLUTELY for the Heat Seekers! It carries a great, spicy heat that we just loved.
Of course, what’s a burger without FRENCH FRIES?
These fresh, thick, skin-on fries taste as good as they look… except they’re made even better with the six choices of Dipping Sauce! Going clockwise from the top left, we’ve got Chipotle Mayo, Curry Ketchup, Buffalo Blue Cheese, 3 Mustard and Honey, Garlic Ranch and Horseradish.
Honestly, there’s not a dud in the bunch — this is all about personal preference. So if you have trouble deciding, you may want to ask for more than one (there was no extra charge to try all six!).
For further accompaniment 😉 , we couldn’t resist the Smoked Bourbon Gelato Shake. This was due to both the Cast Member recommendation as well as the BACON GARNISH!
Coming in at 14 bucks, this is for sure a vacation splurge. But you may find the smooth, chocolately, sweet-and-salty blend with a NICE kick from the bourbon to be well worth it!
We also grabbed a S’mores Shake. I loved the whipped cream in addition to the mini marshmallows on top!
You really can taste the difference with the choice of gelato over ice cream. It is unbelievably thick and creamy.
And finally, for that ONE dessert option we mentioned… the Red Velvet Burger Macaron.
This one is pretty underwhelming. The “looks like a burger but it’s really NOT! HA HA HA HA!” trend peaked about five years ago, so I was kind of shocked when this came out of the bag.
The taste was fine, but D-Luxe Burger has such a comfort food, southern-feel, simple-but-awesome flavor thing going on, they could have easily done an awesome house-made cobbler or something similar for their dessert option. I’m not sure I’d spend $5 on this again.
As a reminder — D-Luxe Burger does accept the Disney Dining Plan for Counter Service meals.
But here’s the thing: there are SEVEN new eateries opening up in Disney Springs today alone. So sadly, we had to wrap up our first visit to D-Luxe Burger. But it won’t be the last…
Overall
I think it’s safe to say that D-Luxe Burger has started things off with a BANG in regards to eats here in the BRAND NEW Town Center of Disney Springs! The bulk of the area formerly known as Downtown Disney has long relied on outside vendors for its dining options. And while we look forward to welcoming more of those, I think we’ve been especially looking forward to seeing what the Disney owned and operated spots such as D-Luxe Burger would bring to the Disney Springs table.
While we expected great theming — and the setting here at D-Luxe Burger certainly doesn’t disappoint — we’re happy to report that D-Luxe Burger delivers an A-Game when it comes to food as well…except that dessert option, but you can always indulge in a gelato shake instead. So we happily welcome you, D-Luxe Burger!
And we also welcome the entire new Town Center of Disney Springs!! We’ll see you all back here real soon…
Are you hoping to try D-Luxe Burger soon? Please let us know with a comment!

I’m hoping to eat there this coming Friday on a work trip! Does this open at 10 or 11?
David says
Looks great! What do you get for your dining plan credit? Burger, fries, drink (milkshake??) and macaron?
Mark says
The food looks pretty underwhelming considering the prices. Like you say, lots of new options, and plenty of old ones, too. Not tempted by this one.
Sophie says
Looks good! I’m interested to know if the milkshakes are able to be a drink on the dining plan too!
Essie says
The fries look wonderful, nice and brown and not greasy. I’d love a classic well done cheeseburger and a chocolate malt with extra malt, too, please!
Carmine says
Pass, much better looking specialty burger options here at home. Excited to see what else Springs has to offer though!
Jen says
Do you know if fries included on the dining plan?
Gail says
Most macoron’s are gluten-free so that is a nice option for many…when finding a GF dessert can be tough (besides ice-cream). And I think they look cute.
Kimberly says
I love macarons, and things that look like other things, so I for one think the macaron hamburger is adorable and looks yummy. Can’t wait to try it!
lauren geurtsen says
Any idea if you’re allowed to sub in the veggie burger patty into the much more appetizing burger options than the veggie one on the menu? I’d love it with that chipotle mayo and fried peppers!
3baird says
other than the yellow cheese and premixed ice tea, food looks good!

! Please review the cake shake!!

Planning to eat here next Thursday afternoon! So excited! Love burgers and milkshakes!
We usually eat at Wolfgang Puck express! Excited to try something new!
Everything looks so delish!

I’m assuming that a dining plan credit gets you a burger entree and two snacks. So as the burgers are not a convo with fries then you have to choose between fries or dessert.
Also as the shakes don’t have a snack logo it’s hard to say if they count as drink/dessert on DDP.
So my guess is a DDP meal is burger, fries, soda. Or burger, macaron, float. Or maybe burger, fries, macaron (then get free water).
Christine says
Did they ask your preference for the burger (ie medium rare vs medium well)?
Thanks!

I was not impressed with this place. Just ate there. The options for the burgers are either rare or well done. The burgers are enormous and should really be in a plate. The box they come in was half full of grease. I think if I ever try them again, I’ll stick with the veggie burger. I’ll stick with Five Guys for my burger cravings.

I also ate here the first day it opened. I am from New York, so I immediately felt like they were trying to make this sort of like a Disney version of Shake Shack. While waiting online, the employee handing out menus told us that they cook all burgers to medium unless otherwise specified. She said to tell them how we wanted our burger. When placing our order, we specified that we would like it medium-well (very slightly pink). The employee taking our order informed us that they could only do medium or well-done. This baffled me so I just said to keep it medium because I didn’t want to risk having it too well done.
Needless to say, I wished my burger had been cooked a little bit more but it was still tasty. I got the classic, and I did feel like it could have used some type of sauce to tie the flavors together a little bit (obviously again thinking about Shake Shack). However, it was good and the fries were delicious without being too greasy. They also offer lots of fry dipping sauces so that is kind of unique. My stand-out item was probably the salted caramel shake. OMG to die for! Overall, D-Luxe Burger was a good experience, especially on the first day it opened. I do think they will have to change their policy on how they cook the burgers though.

For every restaurant at WDW somebody can say I have a cheaper better one at home. But if somebody is actually interested in a hamburger at WDW, this place sounds great!
Justin says
I kind of agree with Mark on it being a bit underwhelming for the price–$16 for a burger and fries at essentially a counter-service location? That’s steep. Someone else mentioned Shake Shack, and I get they are going for that or a 5 Guys kind of a deal, but I checked prices of Shake Shack at Citi Field, the NY Mets ballpark (I figure MLB ballpark marked-up prices should be on-par with Disney mark-ups), a burger and fries are less than $13.
Thanks for the write-up, though. I know I’d be big on the dipping sauces. I expect I’d be a Buffalo Blue Cheese or Curry Ketchup kind of guy!

My husband, my son and I all tried this out on Monday night. Customer service was sub par especially for Disney. No one even mentioned that the burgers were only medium rare. We were fine with that but we saw several guests returning their burgers because it was too pink in the middle. Dipping sauces were never mentioned – we had to ask. We ordered the kids meal cheeseburger with water. When we got the order to the table, we noticed their was no water. Went back to ask about it and they said they ran out. No mention of that when ordering and no mention of that when the order was picked up. They did give us a large water after we squawked a bit. Because of the price and service, we will not be going back for a second try. There are much better burgers at Disney with a smaller price tag. – Cookes of Dublin has an awesome cheeseburger!

Signature blend beef patty: a mix of brisket, angus, chuck, and short rib.
You do know Angus is a breed, while the others are cuts of meat and not the fanciest cuts either. But then again that’s probably why they end up being ground into a burger. I will have to agree $15-16 for a burger + fries is pretty steep. Considering the cheaper places I can get a burger including fries is Texas T-Bone, Texas Roadhouse, and other locations within WDW. But I will give them a try (probably without the fries) for I do like a good burger.

By any chance does anyone know if this restaurant has any gluten free options (such as gluten free buns, or dedicated friers). Thanks for any info, it looks yummy and I think my family might like to try it, just wondering if I’ll be able to join them for this one or not!

If you are a lover of a good burger this is the place. Burgers are flavorful and juicy. Did not try fries, burger was so large didn’t have room

Had dinner there on Saturday. Classic BBQ and El Diablo burgers were excellent but the fries are, frankly, a waste of money. The cost of fries is outrageous for what you get and they weren’t really all that. The line to eat there was at least 45 minutes long but the food came fast after ordering. We’ll go back.
Sean says
Just finished eating here. Save your money and go elsewhere. The burgers are not medium. They are medium rare and overly salted. Buns are very greasy. The fries are AWFUL!!! They all are very tough and beyond dense. As if 2 day old fries were fried again. They also had an odd sour flavor.
Gave it a try but won’t eat here again.
Brian says
We just ate there on Friday before driving home to PA and we LOVED it. Yeah the burgers are huge and a little greasy but they were awesome! The highlight for us was the dipping sauces for the fries. All of them were fantastic. Next time we go to WDW, we’re stopping there again for sure.

Just tried this today–what a disappointment. 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 soft drinks $40. Expected that since it’s Disney (and would have been okay with it if the food was good.) Service–lined up out the door and only one register open. Food– asked for my burger well done and it came out medium rare. Took it back and the employee insisted it was well done. No offer to remake or replace. Fries no taste–cardboard. And no restrooms. What were they thinking? Overall, for me and my husband a huge fail. We’ll go to Five Guys for half the price.
Frank says
We had lunch at D-Lux Burgers today. Oh my goodness……FANTASTIC!!!! imho…
We each had the Classic Burger and one small fry.
I’d go back in a heartbeat.

The bar seating which is not really a bar, is just awful. Wasted space. Need to get some appropriate chairs so people can actually eat their meals.
The food is fabulous. Would recommend on your next Disney trip.

Just had our first visit, and we loved it! Pricey? Yes. Delicious? Yes. Yes. Yes.! Really good burgers! Beautiful place. Will return for sure.
Jorge says
Came to check out the new Disney Springs and decided to have a quick burger at D-luxe Burgers. Overpriced and underwhelming. Equivalent of 5 combos: $80. You can have a much better burger and fries at Five Guys for half the price. Do not recommend.
Frank says
Ate there twice this week, last today.
Love the place.
Great burger, fries, and shake.
I don’t understand those that think it’s overpriced. We paid under 10 for a classic. Beaches and Cream is 16, while Crews Cup was 18. Another place in the Springs was 20.
Ivy says
Ate there last Wednesday igor with Disney dining plan. You can choose burger, drink and fries or macaroon. We all loved it! We considered going back, but never made it. Our party had classic burgers and barbecue burgersauce and fries. Way too big for any of us to finish but we all gave it our best because we loved it! Well cooked and seasoned. Go, you won’t be disappointed, especially if you have the dining plan.
Jerry says
Very Disappointed. Burgers had no flavor to them. My wife had the classic and I had the barbecue burger. Just no taste to them. My barbecue burger came with a very little sauce on it, which helped a little. Fries were good and a lot of them for a small order. Can’t recommend. Will go elsewhere in the Springs.
