Rejoice Lighthouse Sandwich fans! We are happy to share with you that the Lighthouse Sandwich is lighting (and lightening) up the menu at Magic Kingdom’s Columbia Harbour House once again!
For those of you scratching your head wondering “um…what’s the big deal…it’s a sandwich…”, let us…ahem…shine a light on things!
The hummus, tomato and broccoli slaw sandwich served on multigrain bread gained a fan following as an easy, refreshing, go-to sandwich — which as an added bonus was a tasty vegetarian option. But even with a dedicated fan base, it was removed from the menu just over a year ago.
But we’re thrilled to say that it’s BACK, and our readers are telling us it’s as good as ever!
This is the perfect light, refreshing, and vegetarian-friendly option for the sweltering Summertime in Disney World, making Columbia Harbour House’s menu diverse and able to accommodate more tastes, diets, and preferences.

Terrific! I have a tradition of having one of these the day before the marathon every year. Thrilled to hear I can have it again. Next up: the pork shank from Gaston’s (fingers crossed).

Best news ever! I was so bummed when this disappeared, it’s one of my favorites and WDW needs MORE vegetarian options, not less! Thanks for the update!

So annoyed when the took this great vegetarian option off the menu! Let the dancing begin, and fingers crossed it is still there when I arrive in December.

Anyone know if this can be made gluten free? It was my favorite before I was diagnosed! I tried to Google it but couldn’t find anything. Thanks!

So pleased to hear this. There’s lots of UNhealthy stuff I look forward to eating when I visit Walt Disney World, but this is one item that’s good for me that I can’t wait to try again!

So happy it is back!
But why oh why didn’t they bring it back sooner? We left WDW on July 3 and I struggled with lunch options in the MK. This had been my go to!
Hopefully it will still be there on 2020!
